Scott Luton’s Post

"𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲, 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 - - 𝘆𝗲𝘁 𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀." - - Serena Williams Some of the best Good News from this week: seeing history being made, with one of the most iconic athletes of all time making one of her final runs at a U.S. Open. Now, I'll be the first to say that I've never been much of a tennis fan, but like millions around the world, I'm so drawn to the incredible story and talent that is Serena Williams. Serena has overcome all sorts of challenges in her illustrious career, only to go on to win 23 Grand Slam singles titles, which is the most by any player in the Open Era. And she's only ONE title away from tying the mark for most of all time. Serena plays her 3rd round match tonight at 7pm ET - - and I might have to watch a live tennis match for the first time in years! I think her quote at the top is a point of view that transcends every aspect of life. I know that some of my most important lessons learned in my own journey have come from mistakes & failures. Moving right along, may I brag on our Supply Chain Now team just a bit? 💪 We are approaching SCN podcast episode #1,000 in a few weeks. It's the heartbeat of our greater ecosystem of award-winning digital content. And as proud as I am of EVERYTHING that has been poured into all of those episodes - - I am even more proud of the fact that our content has resonated with our global family of listeners. Supply Chain Now ranks in the top 1.5% (in terms of listenership & popularity) amongst all 2.9M+ podcasts in the world, regardless of genre. That's remarkable - and I'm very grateful to our team, our listeners, and our entire global fam for the support. If you want to amplify your own Good News, thought leadership, insights, and more, check out our most recent media kit. Gonna go even bigger in 2023: https://lnkd.in/gMnB9xN9 Sharing a few other items of Good News on my radar lately: ✅ Big congrats to Rob Tiffany⚡️ (one of the smartest folks I know) on his appointment to the iotSymphony Board of Advisors. tinyurl.com/bdh8zddm ✅ Love the work that Jenny Froome & SAPICS do to engage young professionals across #Africa - check out this upcoming virtual conference on September 8th: https://lnkd.in/gj-m9Vid ✅ I spent some time w/ Theodora Lau earlier this week on This Week in Business History, as we spoke about a variety of topics, including the need for more empathy & understanding between folks that have a different opinion. LI live replay here (podcast replay will drop next week): https://lnkd.in/gF-UJi64 ✅ ICYMI: Greg White has been on fire with his M/W/F #SupplyChain Commentaries. One of his latest takes has enjoyed over 13,000 views inside of 24 hours. Before you know it, he's gonna have an entourage, an agent, & an iconic show on HBO: Greg White Raw (or maybe Delirious) 😆 - the latest here: tinyurl.com/2f4bhfzx Have a great weekend all. #supplychain
