Reference Point of the Canon Update: End of Act 6, Intermission 1.
How Will This Change the Character?:
Timeline: Dave's going through a pretty sizeable shift, in terms of time! About the maximum possible, in fact. Personality explanations will come in a bit - this section is just to explain the timeline of the raw changes:
-Dave wakes up from his nap and goes about his Alpha!Dave shenanigans. This involves seeing most of the pre!Scratch timeline several times through, abusing the hell out of the LOHAC Stock Exchange, and generally derping it up with Terezi.
-Dave finds his Bro's body with his own sword stabbed through it and attempts to remove it. It is unknown whether he finds another way after his initial failure, but seems unlikely.
-Dave attempts to show himself his stabs, to no great avail. He has a bit of a fight with Terezi over how morbid this is, especially if she's just created another Doomed Dave to make a point, and doesn't end up killing Coin!Dave. Said Dave quickly dies to one Jack Noir.
-He heads over to Jade's planet, LOFAF, and helps out around the place, becoming her secondary server player, helping her find frogs, and eventually getting himself shot with her own bullets (once again, courtesy of Jack Noir).
-Having heard about Rose's planned suicide mission, he attempts to take over and save her at the possible cost of his own life. This leads to them going together to the tumor's proposed detonation site, standing on their quest beds, and getting exploded - leading to the creation of the Green Sun, and to the God Tiers for Dave and Rose.
-They chill out on a meteor with Karkat, Gamzee, Terezi, Kanaya, Sollux, and Aradia, and have some excessively dorky conversations. Karkat freaks out over potential interspecies makeouts after getting hit in the head with a bucket.
-That's about it, really.
Personality: While hitting the God Tiers hasn't made huge changes in Dave's personality, some of the events on the way have hit harder than he might like. He's definitely had to grow some, from the relentless march of time to the death of his brother/father. These changes are mostly small in nature - indeed, when he's talking to Terezi, he seems every bit the same Dave as old - and it's arguable that most of them, the awareness of time's necessity and that bit of self-sufficience, are things he's picked up already in Sacrosanct.
Still, I'd argue that that push to the God Tiers symbolizes Dave realizing a greater potential as the Knight of Time - that he'll be just a teensy bit more inclined to patience when it counts, to awareness of the things around him, and that the side of him trying to protect the people he loves will be stronger than ever! Other than that, there won't be too much changing on the personality front.
Powers:Being in the God Tiers comes with four lovely powers:
-Gift of Gab: Dave can now talk in person! Unfortunately, this doesn't matter too much in Sacrosanct. As such, he'll just have a neat little nakadile badge attached to his new outfit.
-Sweet Suit: Dave gets thedorkiest best outfit out of all the kids - a red godly outfit of Time, with the gear motif and all, and a knight-themed cowl of a hood. This is good for getting mocked looking awesome.
-Immortality: Dave, having effectively become a god, is now immortal! Of course, there are some caveats to this new power. If he dies in a heroic way, making him a martyr, it is made permanent (and thus he would telespawn), and if he dies in a way that the universe deems just, whether to end corruption or to save lives instead, it is made permanent (hence telespawn). Both of these are very intricate mechanisms with a lot of grey area around them.
-Time-Themed Swag: Unfortunately, Hussie's been remarkably evasive as to the nature of Dave's new powers - we know that they're more in tune with what a Knight would need as a combatant and protector, but not much more than that. As such, I wouldn't use anything he couldn't use before this update where time powers are concerned, unless Hussie showed some new power crap in the comic.
Any Large Items?: Nothing. If possible, I'd love for the legendary piece of crap half-sword he's been carrying around to be upgraded into something that can actually cut shit (as it appears to have been in-comic), but that's unimportant on the grander scale of things.

Look, truth be told, I'm new to this cool kid. I'm new to playing guys in general. And I'm constantly worried I'm screwing up the AWESOME that is Dave Strider. So, where do you come in? Simple! I'm deactivating IP logging, turning anon on, and letting anyone who sees my playing and thinks "you could improve" post here!
