Well, I requested from mereprototype so I guess that obligates me to repost this~

The first TEN people to comment in this post get to request that I write a drabble of any pairing/character/gen fic of their choosing. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. If you absolutely can't write, maybe find a creative alternative?

Pretty sure everyone's aware I'm in Japan by now, but I apparently missed an earthquake yesterday while I was sleeping. Not a very big one. There's my fun tidbit for the day?

My dad came down to take some of my stuff home, and of course the weather is terrible up north and he didn't have the topper on the truck or a tarp. He seems to be overestimating the watertight properties of cardboard boxes. I just hope that I don't have a lot of ruined books and electronics once he's done. That would just be the icing on the shit cake that has been getting ready for this trip.

Edit: Okay, I just phoned him and he said he's back, just ran into a couple small showers so everything should be fine. I just really didn't want to get home and find out that all my books and whatnot were soaked through. I have some manga that are impossible to find anymore and some artbooks and doujin that I probably wouldn't be able to replace.

ohgod. Tomorrowday I have a meeting with student legal services down on campus to get power of attorney paperwork filed, and I have a whole laundry list of things I should do (INCLUDING LAUNDRY, HAR) but not the time to do it--tomorrow is my first day off in a week and my last day off for a week. I keep on getting stuck with more shifts because they were too stupid to hire people weeks ago when all this two-week-notice shit was starting to hit the fan, apparently we also forgot that a good number of the employees left at our store that aren't management are college students, and therefore were going to have to be changing our hours once school started--or leaving entirely.

Tomorrow I'm going to be running around trying to get as much done in as little time as possible. My meeting at student legal services is at 2:30. I need to get my permanent address changed back to my parents'. I need to go see the advisor for my department. I want to go to International Affairs and peruse some of their touristy books to make notes about just where the hell I'm going to be living for the next three months or so. I'm probably going to end up in some corner panicking as most of this hits me full-force.

For now, I need to sleep. Office hours for my advisor are 9-12 tomorrow.

This is probably going to seriously be my light at the end of the oh-my-god-I-hate-my-job-please-kill-me-now tunnel. Whee!

Decision's made. Movin' out of the house. All my shit's gonna go into storage somewhere while I'm in Japan, when I come back (apparently in December now) I'm going to look for another place. Probably an apartment at this point.

...I've got about four weeks 'fore I leave. This is going to be entertaining.

I wonder if this technically means I'll be a transient when I come back... :|a
