Yes, TiMax panLab is a spatial audio mixing solution that adds spatial rendering capabilities to existing hardware and software setups, enabling the creation of complex 3D spatial audio environments.

TiMax panLab is exclusively available for Apple Mac computers running macOS 11 or later, with Apple silicon (M1 or later) recommended for optimal performance. It is not compatible with Windows or other operating systems.

TiMax panLab seamlessly integrates with QLab 4 and QLab 5, allowing any Audio or Mic cue to be added as an object on the panner for intuitive mixing. It extracts system configuration data from QLab and uses it to create quick and simple object-based spatialisation on the system.

TiMax panLab supports integration with major consoles and processors at all price points within the industry. That includes:

Which mixing consoles and system processors are supported?

Which versions of QLab are supported?

TiMax panLab fully supports QLab 4 and QLab 5.

Does TiMax panLab process any audio?

No, TiMax panLab does not directly process any audio. Therefore you do not need to include the Mac running TiMax panLab in your audio signal flow.

We send control data to the connected device, applying the results of our 3D amplitude based panning algorithm directly to the audio processing device you are already using.

How does TiMax panLab connect to a device?

TiMax panLab connects to mixing desks, system processors and QLab over the local area network.

We utilise publicly available communication protocols to modify parameters on the connected device.

How does TiMax panLab licensing work?

Working offline with TiMax panLab is always free. You only require a license when you need to connect to a device. It is also always free to output positional information to a TiMax SoundHub.

QLab and Console integrations are licensed separately. Please see the License Type table for a full list of compatible devices.

How many license seats are supported?

All TiMax panLab licenses offer a single license seat. This can easily be moved between computers.

Can I try TiMax panLab for free?

Absolutely, you can download TiMax panLab for free from this website.

TiMax panLab is always free to use offline. Additionally, you will be provided with a 7-day free trial of the Ultimate License, allowing you to test the performance of TiMax panLab before purchasing a license.
