Central Florida’s Halifax River basin and its maze of creeks and mangrove marshes are part of a unique and exceptionally diverse coastal estuary system with a wide variety of fish.
Fish for your favorite Southeastern inshore species including: Redfish, Spotted Sea Trout (aka Speckled Trout), Flounder and Black Drum as well as Snook, a tropical species. Many desirable species common in nearshore and offshore waters pass through Ponce Inlet, at the mouth of the Halifax River, to breed and feed. On Captain Ron’s inshore fishing charters you may catch Pompano, Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel or even a Jack Crevalle.

Volusia County (home of Daytona Beach) has been creating new, highly productive offshore habitat just off the coast near Daytona Beach since the 1980s.
Fish the reefs up to 3 miles from the inlet for an astonishing variety of fish including: Big Bull Redfish and Black Drum, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Sea Bass, Whitings, Weakfish, Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead and even Cobia and Tarpon.
