I recently configured a ThrustMaster Ferrari GT experience steering wheel and pedals to the trucking game 18 WoS American Long Haul. Everything works fine except the fact that there is no acceleration on the keyboard or the Game Controller. The truck blows smoke through the exhaust pipes, but doesn't go anywhere. Why is this happening and how to fix it?

If the engine is turned ON and smoke is coming out of the exhaust pipes, but the truck isn't moving when you press the acceleration pedal, you should disengage the parking break. The default key for toggle this is Spacebar. To change the key, visit the Control section from the Option menu.
I have installed 18 Wheels of Steel Across America and ThrustMaster Ferrari GT Experience. How can I hook up a particular tractor to a particular trailer in the "Showroom" page and get them into the game? All I can do now is drive a pre-chosen tractor without a trailer, no loading dock, etc. Is this possible?

No. This isn't possible in this version of the game. The game doesn't have a Free to play option. If you want to drive a truck and a trailer, you need to start / load a game and purchase them. In Showroom, the developer presents the available trucks and trailers that are available in the game. There is no way to select a combination and use it from the start of the game. If you still can figure out what to do, use Google or Youtube to find tutorials about the game.
