Dan was sitting on the same chair he had been for an entire hour now, his face was white. His fingers drummed on the table as he tried to work out what had just happened. This couldn't be real.

Aaron rolled over, draping his arm around Vi's waist and settling closer. He sighed quietly and clung to sleep. Was it morning already?
Gideon walked downstairs, an opened package and a letter in his arms, biting his lip. "Er, Marly?" he said, looking around for her. "I've got a, er... Parcel for you."
Natalie was plugged into her iPod again, tapping her pencil to the beat of the song in her ears. Henry had made her a whole freaking playlist, with a tracklist taped onto the CD and everything. She grinned to herself, thinking of the dance, and went back to her homework.
