I have a question

What do you wish you could see or read for the first time again?

I ask because we're watching Arrow, and I already wish I could see the first season for the first time again, even though I have all the S2 eps saved up to watch. I've developed a deep well of affection for Ollie, Diggle, and Felicity, and I wish I could watch it all unfold again!

My list would include, but not be limited to:

TV: due South, Community,

Movies: Speed, the Bourne series

Books: Diana Gabaldon's Outlander, Lee Child's Jack Reacher series.

The floor is open...

SEAL Team 666

How did I not know about SEAL Team 666???

And Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) is slated to star in a movie version???

Demon-hunting SEALs.

Think about that. It works for you, right???

Cat experts: Dealing with diarrhea?

Isn't that a lovely header? Poor Sugar has diarrhea, source unknown. She doesn't go outside, and has had access to the same two foods for six months.

She has long fur on her hindquarters so she made a big poopy mess that I only discovered *after* I came home from running errands. I cleaned her up (and the kitchen floor, and the porch floor), shut her in the laundry room with her water fountain, the litter box, and some old towels, but she's yowling and trying to get out.

I reallllllly don't want poop all over my carpets, so I feel like she has to stay in there today, but is there anything else I can do? PetMD said not to give her food for 24 hours, but to make fresh water available, so I've done that.

Help?

The Last Resort

Finally saw the premiere episode last night and looooooooved it. Like, I'm going to watch it again because some of it flew past me and I want to really get it before this week's ep. Mr. Bone says there's no way they'll be able to maintain the quality over the long haul, but of the new stuff we've watched, it was far and away our favorite.

Anybody else watching?

AO3 help?

Hi! I used to have an account at AO3. Or at least, I thought I did. When I pull it up and try to log in, it fills in the name "bone" and the password with the right number of dots, but then it says there's no account, and neither the name "bone" nor either of the e-mail addresses I would have used comes up as valid, either.

I'd try to create a new account, but it says there are 31,000 people ahead of me in line for invitations. And, really, I'd just as soon the old one worked!

Any suggestions?

ETA: Thanks to wolfshark I now have an account at AO3! It really is quite strange -- when I went to make my "new" account, it already had my username, password, and correct e-mail account all filled in, and all I had to do was confirm the password. Whatever. It worked. Thank you, wolfshark!

Doin' it old school

I'm annoyed that the USA men's volleyball match doesn't appear to be airing on any of the nine million NBC channels. Rowing, water polo, etc, yes, but Matt Anderson, no. Harumph.

So I'm on the NBC Olympics website, where I should be able to watch it live, but my goddamn internet connection is too slow. I got a British commentator for awhile, but he never gave the score, so I turned it off. Now I've got an old school play-by-play text image updating the score live, which would have made me ecstatic eight years ago but now just makes me mad at how slow it is, and how much it's NOT showing me Matt Anderson the match.

Isn't this shit on radio or something? Grr.

Avengers!

Thanks for all the votes! We went to The Avengers, with a very full theater, and sat next to a trio of (thankfully) hilarious fanboys who knew every nuance of the story and filled me in on all the stuff I would have missed otherwise.

The nonspoilery summation of my viewing experience goes thusly:

Chris Evans is gorgeous and Captain American mashes all my buttons with the power of Thor's hammer

Jeremy Renner is a stealth hottie. Like, if you take all his parts separately, he's just okay. But put him together and set him on a rooftop and WOOF!

ScaJo has beautiful lips. And cheekbones.

Avengers or Downton Abbey?

We have a FREE night! We just got the first disk of the first season of Downton Abbey from Netflix.

Do we:

Go to the theater to see The Avengers with the opening night crowd

Stay home and watch Downton Abbey on DVD.

I don't have polling privileges, so you'll just have to do it the old-fashioned way: comment!
