Thirsty Aztec sits right on the San Antonio River Walk at 200 River Walk, steps from the heart of downtown. We have become the go-to spot for tourists, locals, and anyone who wants an ice-cold frozen margarita without sitting down or waiting around. Walk up, grab your drink, and keep strolling.
We are a walk-up frozen drink bar, which means no reservations, no wait staff, and no pretense. Just cold drinks, good vibes, and the best view on the River Walk. Whether you are here for a Saturday night out or a Tuesday afternoon stroll, we are pouring.
Home of the Amiki
The Amiki is what put Thirsty Aztec on the map. It is our signature multi-flavor frozen margarita tower with layers of Mango, Pina Colada, Strawberry, and Blue Razz stacked in one massive cup, topped with jello shots, rum shooters, and a tequila shooter. It is not just a drink, it is an experience.
The name Amiki comes from the idea of sharing something great with friends. And that is exactly what happens every time someone walks down the River Walk carrying one. People stop, point, and ask where did you get THAT? The answer is always the same: Thirsty Aztec.
Our Signature Drinks
Da Aztec (44oz) - The crowd favorite. Four frozen flavors including Mango, Pina Colada, Strawberry, and Blue Razz layered in a towering cup with 3 jello shots, 2 rum shooters, and a tequila shooter on top. Big enough to share, but nobody ever does.
The Wemby-Rita (100oz) - Named after San Antonio own Victor Wembanyama. The biggest drink on the River Walk with 100 ounces of frozen margarita in four flavors with 3 jello shots and 3 shooters. Perfect for groups, bachelor parties, or anyone who came to the River Walk with a mission.
The Local (24oz) - Our love letter to San Antonio. Mango margarita with a chamoy swirl, rimmed with chamoy and Lucas candy, a tequila shooter, and a candy stick. If you know, you know. This is the drink the locals order.
Michelada - Made with our homemade mix, rimmed with chamoy and Lucas, served with your choice of beer. No pre-made stuff here, we make it fresh every time.
Frozen Flavors - Choose from Pina Colada, Mango, Strawberry, Blue Razz, and Lime. Every flavor available in any size, and we offer non-alcoholic versions for kids and designated drivers.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 11:30 AM to 10 PM | Friday-Saturday 11:30 AM to 12:30 AM | Sunday 12 PM to 10 PM
Good to know: Walk-up only, no reservations needed. All drinks to-go in sealed cups for River Walk strolling. Cash and card accepted. Non-alcoholic options available for kids. We also have a candy store inside with Mexican candy. Dogs are welcome at the walk-up window.
