This week I’m featuring two inspirational art prints of rock climbers. The first one is along a trail I was hiking in the mountains east of the Seattle area. The second one is a rock climber in Red Rock Canyon just outside of Las Vegas.
I Will Sing of the Lords Love by Kirt Tisdale is an art print I created using a gothic style of painting. The inspiration of the painting is the sunset hot air balloon rides in San Diego. I then did an overlay of Psalm 89.1 to complete the print. I thought this quote and this picture made a perfect match!
Even though it seems like it more times then not, that is our weakness speaking. With faith, we understand and accept that we are never alone. It is up to us to recognize that and embrace it. This week, I am posting three art prints that speak to that very issue.
The first one addresses those times we feel like we are and loneliness sets in.
The next one addresses those times we take on a challenge that could be overwhelming, but with faith we strive forward to accomplish something difficult.
This week I’m featuring four art prints I created with “Love is Patient and Kind” from Corinthians 13: verses 4-8. It is a well known group of verses from the bible to reiterate what love is. I think it’s a very powerful quote about what true love in daily life and personal interaction with others is all about. My wife and I had this quote on some artwork hanging on a wall our kids always passed coming out of their bedrooms. Reading it daily was always inspirational and motivational for all of us.
This week I’m featuring two “Posters” I created with those titles. The scene on both is similar that it shows rock climbing, but on two very different cliffs. What appealed to me in capturing both of these scenes was the sense of determination in tackling such a climb and perseverance in maintaining the effort until the top is reached.
At first glance you might say “Rock climber? Where?” Once the climber is spotted it makes the challenge all the more obvious. The climber is just above the lower trees on the left side of the capture. The task has only just begun and would require a lot of “Determination”!!
Whether the climber is coming up or going down, it is visually obvious that the goal is still a ways off and definitely requires perseverance. I would never had caught the climber in the act if it wasn’t for the bright red top they were wearing.
Thoughts? As I have said before, everyone reacts to visual art techniques and looks differently, so I am not in the least offended by opinions.
The Bible verse and this photographic capture I thought would make a great marriage. The bible verse speaks of peace and the setting is a peaceful scene. This is an art print I created using a quote from 1 Corinthians 14:33 as an overlay on my photograph of Hidden Lake near Whistler, British Columbia. As a Christian artist, I seek to make sure that the biblical quote I am using is a good marriage with the art print I put it on.

Quiet My Mind was created using a personal prayer of mine as an overlay on one of my art prints. As a Christian artist, I seek to make sure that the prayer and thought I am using is a good marriage with the art print I put it on. In this particular case the scene is perfect, the stillness of a foggy harbor in the early morning hours.
This week I have four art prints with the Bible verse from Matthew 17-20 about faith and the mountain. The verse is very inspirational as it reminds us that through faith anything is possible. The first three prints are of the continental divide in Colorado near the Dillon Reservoir Recreation Area. The fourth one is of the Cascade Mountain Range near North Bend, Washington east of the Seattle area. In creating the prints, I used a sketching and watercolor color technique on two of the Colorado settings and straight photography on the third one. On the Cascade Mountains, I used a soft watercolor technique on that one.
There is so much chaos and negativity going on all around us, wether it be at a local level or international level. It draws us in creating frustration and anger. On a daily basis I find it over whelming, but I remind myself to focus on the good that also exists even in the midst of all the challenges. For today’s post I am sharing some of my art that I have created for just these moments.
I created this using a quote from 1 Corinthians 13:33 as an overlay on my photograph of Hidden Lake near Whistler, British Columbia. I immediately thought of this photograph as it is a very serene and peaceful scene.
This week I’m featuring four art prints from my Inspirational Prayers Gallery. The first print might look familiar as I featured it a couple of weeks ago. I was blessed with input from one of my blog followers who is a writer. Left me share the print I featured a couple of weeks ago:
Journey Down The Path
Things changed with a comment from one of the followers of my blog. Darlene Foster and I have been following each other for a number of years and we are both quite familiar with each others work. Darlene is a writer who has published nine books in her “Amanda” series about ” a spunky young girl who likes to travel”. Following her adventures takes you to Arabia, Spain, England, Alberta, Danube, New Mexico, Holland, Malta and France. I have been waiting for my own granddaughter to reach an age where she can submerse herself in the adventures of Amanda. Darlene has also written a number of inspirational short stories. Having said all that, Darlene reached out to me and said “I like the quote with the path in the woods but I would shorten it to make it stronger. Can I make a suggestion?” “Absolutely you can make a suggestion!!” I replied. The rest of these prints were the ones I also had that prayerful thought on. I loved the shortened version as follows:
