Our Event Services Department’s goal is to ensure that your event is a memorable and successful occasion that exceeds your expectations. After confirming your event, an event manager will serve as your primary point of contact and liaison for all facility related services. Your event manager will be happy to assist you with any documents, logistics or planning connected with your occasion.

Encore Global offers the largest pool of experienced audiovisual professionals in the industry, with capabilities that include audio, video, lighting and a wide variety of conference equipment. The costs for supplemental equipment may vary based on quantity and availability. Several package options are available and your HRCC event manager will be happy to discuss them with you.

Is the Hampton Roads Convention Center environmentally friendly and a Green facility?

The HRCC is committed to searching for ways to be an Earth-friendly steward and work together with our community to improve Hampton, Virginia’s environmental profile. We progressively strive to be as “Green” as possible and we are committed to reducing our environmental impact by persistently looking for efficiencies and greener practices in our day-to-day operations. At the HRCC, we actively encourage recycling and overall waste reduction. Our water features recycle the water that is utilized; our large windows provide natural lighting; our restrooms feature motion-sensors on all toilets; and, we utilize “green” cleaners and products.

What is there for my convention delegates to do in Hampton?

Within immediate proximity of the Hampton Roads Convention Center, visitors can enjoy an array of shops and restaurants at Peninsula Town Center and the Power Plant of Hampton Roads. The exciting variety of dining and retail in both districts are complimented by world-class attractions like Fort Monroe, harbor tours on the Miss Hampton II, the Virginia Air & Space Center, Hampton History Museum, Hampton Carousel, nature preserves ideal for hiking, walking and biking, and historic Hampton University. There are two golf courses (with clubs available for rent) located just five minutes away. Paradise Ocean Club stays jumping during the late spring and summer with live music by national recording artists, special events, private cabana rentals, private beach and more. Hampton is located at the center of Coastal Virginia, so your guests will enjoy a bounty of adventure and entertainment. Is it easy to get to the Hampton Roads Convention Center?

The Hampton Roads Convention Center is located in the center of the Hampton Roads, or Coastal Virginia, region. Hampton is conveniently accessible to I-95 via I-64, and the convention center is located at the cross roads of I-64 and I-664. Hampton is accessible by two international airports, Norfolk (ORF) and Newport News/Williamsburg (PHF) and is located within a brief drive of AMTRAK service.

Is there a fee to park at the Hampton Roads Convention Center?

There are 4,000 free parking spaces at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.

If I require a block of hotel rooms for my conference or convention, is there assistance available to help identify a hotel that will meet my needs?

For events requiring a block of 50 or more hotel rooms, the Hampton Convention & Visitor Bureau sales team will assist you by distributing your event information to Hampton hoteliers and collecting availability and room rates on your behalf. They can also assist you by providing customized group services based on the unique needs of your group event.

What role does the Event Manager serve in the success of my event?

The Event Manager will contact you as soon as assigned and will remain your primary client liaison through the conclusion of your event. The major function of your Event Manager is to gather all event information and disseminate that information to our in-house operating departments.
