The Bible is God's Word. By reading it, we get to know God and receive better understanding of his plan for our life. We have selected a few verses from the Bible for you to start your journey with God.
There is a God that loves you with incredible love. He knows your innermost being, He is with you in your loneliest moments, and He loves you on your worst days. This loving God is real, and you can actually know Him. He wants nothing more than for you to experience His love personally and to discover the purpose of your life in your relationship with Him, finding true fulfillment in life.
You always show me the path that leads to life. You will fill me with joy when I am with You. You will give me endless pleasures at Your right hand. Psalm 16:11
So we know that God loves us. We depend on it. God is love. Anyone who leads a life of love shows that he is joined to God. And God is joined to him. 1 John 4:16
Do you believe that God knows and loves you?
Unfortunately, we do not experience this incredible love because we ignore God. We search everywhere for meaning, purpose and fulfillment – but not with God. We ignore Him and do not trust Him to want the best for us. Going our own way and the selfish actions that result from this lifestyle are what the Bible calls sin. Sin damages and destroys our relationship to God, to others, and even to ourselves. Sin ultimately separates us from everything that God wants to give us, namely His love and a life with purpose – a life that goes beyond death.
But your sins have separated you from your God. They have caused Him to turn his face away from you. So He won’t listen to you. Isaiah 59:2
Everyone has sinned. No one measures up to God’s glory. Romans 3:23
What do you regret most in your life?
God has not abandoned us. He was so moved by our separation from Him that He came near to us. He became a human being in Jesus Christ in order to show us His heavenly love in everything He said and did. Finally, He even gave His life for us. He took our place on the cross, bearing all the consequences of sin Himself. Jesus died – but He rose to life again, overcoming death and everything that separated us from God. Through Jesus we can enter into a personal relationship to God. Through faith in Jesus we can discover a life of love, strength and purpose.
Christ died for sins once and for all time. The One who did what is right died for those who didn’t do right. He died to bring you to God. His body was put to death. But the Holy Spirit brought Him back to life. 1 Peter 3:18
“God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son. Anyone who believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life.” John 3:16
Who is Jesus for you personally?
God has already done everything to show us how much He loves us and has opened the way for us to actually experience His love. Through Jesus Christ, He offers us fulfilment and eternal life. We can accept this gift – not through human effort or good deeds – but through faith. We begin by simply talking to God directly in prayer. We can tell Him that we are sorry for having lived without Him. And that we choose to live with Him from now on by trusting Jesus Christ. How will you decide?
“All of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then your sins will be forgiven. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38
Some people did accept Him. They believed in His name. He gave them the right to become children of God. John 1:12
What consequences would it have if you lived for God with everything you have and are? If Jesus were standing in front of you right now and asked you: ‘Do you want to live with me and for me’, what would your answer be?
If you have invited Jesus into your life, the Creator of heaven and earth is now your personal God, your Saviour and friend. – Congratulations to the best decision of your life! The following points will help you become more like Jesus.
