I blog because I have far too much to say… and keeping it all to myself was never really an option 🙂 This space gives me the freedom to do what I love most — write.

Everything you read here comes wrapped as a story.
And in every story… well, not ‘every’ …there’s a little bit of me.
It’s up to you to figure out which part.

One of the things I truly enjoy is meeting people — from across India and beyond.
Blogging, in its own quiet way, makes that happen.

I’ve worn a couple of different hats along the way…
from answering calls in a cubicle,
to convincing people to find love in strange homes to make it their own,
to training students in the many shades of the English language

I’m not searching for what I love to do, because I know what I am all about, 4 decades in this world and you’d think by now, I know exactly what I want, that may not necessarily be the same thing as I need.. but ah! Life is all about figuring that out right?

Until then, writing stays.
Constant. Honest.
Straight from the heart.

I’m just a small part of this vast blogging world,
trying to carve out a space I can call my own —
theextraaamile… the space you’re in right now.

What inspired the name?
Honestly… I don’t quite know. It just stayed.
But looking at it now, it makes sense.
I do tend to go the extra mile — especially for the people I care about, as I always do. You don’t need to be related by blood, if I love you… You are family – that’s simple.

God forbid if you find yourself on the other side of the spectrum. That ain’t pretty – I can tell ya!

I can write about anything that moves me.
And if you — the reader, friend, stranger, or something more — catch my attention…
There’s a chance I might write about you as well.
And you may never even know, until, of course, you’re curious enough to find out or keep reading.

So here’s to blogging,
to meeting new people,
and to keeping things simple.

This space is open. It’s alive.

And I’m looking forward to having you be a part of it —
right here, on theextraaamile ✨

    Do you teach English? I totally agree about the bit of ‘me’ in the stories part, I feel so too.
    I believe my articles/stories are successful if I can make you feel what I felt while writing it, a sort if telepathic connection, if you will.

  37. Glad to finally meet you through your blog introduction !! And I found it very exciting that you are from Goa. I’ve only visited twice even being the neighbour ( I’m from Karwar district and both my site icon and gravatar you see are from agonda and Cabo de Rama beach btw). I find this platform very liberating and a perfect way to connect with like minded people. Here’s to Feni hahaha 😂
