I just watched this again, it’s well worth it for those who haven’t. So, how about a meet (or more) around the topics of reproducibility and predictive power in bioinformatics?
Hi CUBers, in the light of our ‘stable room mates’ topic of tonight, I’d like to suggest something like what’s been done at University of Melbourne’s Research Bazaar – Research Tool Speed Dating. See http://melbourne.resbaz.edu.au/post/94119623864/research-tools-speed-dating. We all have that one favourite tool without which we can’t live. How about sharing that with the group in a 5 minute demo?

This is a great idea and something we talk about often, but rarely focus on addressing the underlying problems. Thanks for the suggestion!
