The CPGB-ML is a founding member of the World Anti-imperialist Platform, which was formed in October 2022 as a response to Nato’s war of aggression against Russia in Ukraine, which brought to light new realities for working-class struggle all over the world.
Standing firmly on the side of those who have recognised that neither China nor Russia are imperialist powers, and that the workers of the world have a side in the war against US imperialism and its Nato allies, the Platform was launched to coordinate the efforts of all those who genuinely desire to work for the defeat of imperialism and the building of a decent future for working people everywhere.
As the global crisis of capitalism deepens and the imperialist war drive becomes more desperate, threatening to plunge much of the world into the flames of a third world war, the Platform aims to amplify the voices and unify and magnify the activities of all those struggling for the defeat of the USA-led Nato block. We hope, in this way, to bring clarity to workers everywhere and to make a meaningful contribution to this world-historic battle.
The Platform’s work has three main aspects:
1. The struggle to build a genuinely anti-imperialist antiwar movement in every county.
2. The ideological struggle to oppose all the wrong ideas that stop our movement from progressing (in particular, ‘theories’ about so-called ‘new imperialisms’, which reproduce the imperialists’ propaganda against their main targets, Russia and China).
3. The struggle to rebuild a genuinely anti-imperialist international communist movement.

In particular, we recommend readers to study the Paris Declaration, the foundation document of the Platform, published on 15 October 2022. The declaration remains open for signatures from organisations wishing to unify the struggle against Nato imperialism.
