2 drink minimums have been a feature at comedy clubs about as long as “Take my wife… please” and “So where are you guys from?” It’s how we pay the bills and keep the laughter going for you every night.
Nope. We know our comedy’s so good, you don’t need to drink to have a good time here. We have a number of soft drinks, water, hot tea and coffee available.
Yes, we do! Pizza, pretzels, and homemade cookies. Check out our current menu.
Starting December 10th, 2024, our shows will be device-free experiences. Use of cellphones, cameras, or recording devices will not be permitted in the performance space.
What that means: Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smart watches, smart glasses, and other devices are placed in Yondr cases and will be unlocked at the end of the show. Guests maintain possession of these items at all times. Guests may also access their devices at any time only in the designated Phone Use Areas throughout the venue. All devices will be re-secured upon returning to the event space.
Anyone seen using a device during the performance in a non-designated area will be escorted out of the venue by security. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a device-free viewing experience.

We know that things come up so please contact us as soon as possible to coordinate a ticket transfer, date change, etc. We do not provide transfers or refunds for changes requested on the same day as the show. We do not accept resold tickets. Do not purchase tickets from any other websites or 3rd party sources.
If we discover you are reselling tickets, your account will be removed from our system and you will be banned from purchasing tickets to either of our locations.
Because our shows are in such high demand, we are not able to hold seat after the show starts.
Ticket holders should be checked in or in line by showtime. Once the show has started, your seat may not be held. Any open seats will be made available to standby customers. All late arrivals or unclaimed tickets will be void and non-refundable.
Don’t worry! You can still enjoy late night. After 10:30 on Sundays, 11:30 on weeknights, and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, you can get discounted tickets to our Original Room shows. Check out the OR calendar to get your tickets now or you can inquire about availability at the door.
While we have a 2-drink minimum, we encourage everyone to observe their own personal maximum. If you do happen to overindulge and wander off before closing out, The Comedy Store will automatically add an 20% gratuity to your bill and charge your card for the total amount.
We sure do. We keep your valuable left-behinds locked away in the Manager’s Office, so you can come by the following day after 6 pm to retrieve them.
Sorry, we are 21+ exclusively for all shows.
Sorry, the answer is still no. It’s not us, it’s The Man. We like your friend, we just like our liquor license more.
Absolutely! We have many options for groups of all sizes. For parties of 10 and up, please fill out our intake form.
Give us a call at 323 656-6225.
Potluck is going back to it’s roots!
Sign up is going to be in person again. If you want to potentially perform on Potluck, meet us on our patio every Sunday and Monday. Sign ups will happen between 4pm and 5pm. The list of selected performers will up in the Original Room.
Make sure to check in with the host, if you made it on the list. Doors open at 5:30 and the show starts at 6pm.
Good luck!
How do I become a paid regular?
In 1972 Mitzi opened The World Famous Comedy Store. Going against the grain as a woman entrepreneur, she faced many obstacles along the way. Little did everyone know, she would become one of the most iconic individuals to have a hand in the world of comedy. Mitzi invented a development system in which door guys would work for the club in exchange for stage time. This would lead to them being booked on shows like The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, help develop sitcoms, land leading roles on blockbuster films, and creating comedy specials that impact generations of comedy fans. Mitzi played a role in the careers of some of the most revered comics of our time. Many of them started as door guys. Sam Kinison, Robin Williams, Marc Maron and Bobby Lee were just a few of the talented voices that worked their way through the system.
Mitzi’s Mission is our way of carrying on Mitzi’s legacy of supporting our door guys for a new generation. A portion of our ticketing service fees goes directly to the door staff. Working the door is a time-honored Store tradition and this surcharge honors their service to The Store and helps support them while working toward their dreams.
We do not have public parking on-site but there are several parking lots and structures nearby. The Sunset Strip gets busy, parking regulations can be strict, and parking fees can be expensive. We suggest using rideshare apps, when possible.
When planning your night at The Store, please make sure that you consider finding parking into your arrival time so that you are on time for your show.
20% gratuity will be added to the purchase of food & beverage over $100
An automatic 20% gratuity will be added to any tabs left open at the end of the night.
Our showrooms are designed for a seated audience. In order to keep distractions to a minimum and avoid any obstacles for our staff and other ticket holders, we request that everyone remain seated during the show.
If you need to take a break or walk around, staff can direct you to designated areas outside of the showroom where you can enjoy a little bit of air before returning to your seat.
