DMHG 100 drabble challenge. 2014 Febuary submission

"It's not just a game or a bet Malfoy!" Hermione huffed. "Both Artemis and Apollo are getting into Gryffindor!" Draco chuckled, "Don't be so sure Mrs Malfoy." He smirked his smirk before he opened the pure white letter.

"We are pleased to say that Artemis Cassiopeia Malfoy and Apollo Scorpius Malfoy are sorted into the Slytherin house." He read out before Hermione let out an upset cry. "No! Well.... At least they're in their father's house." She said as she kissed Draco's cheek.

"Yes. Thank Merlin that they're not in Hufflepuff. Now, what's my prize for winning our little bet?"

"You'll be better. Don't worry."

Hermione sighed as she looked at the countless reports that managed to pile up on her desk late at night.

Suddenly, she heard the door of her office creaked open as she blinked and looked at the opened wide door.

In front of her was a small boy that is about six years old. "Hey Lady! I'm sick! Can you please give me some medicine?"

She was surprised at the inferior personality that he had shown at that particular moment. The personality and the hair was something familiar, like she had seen when she was younger.

Suddenly a loud horn honked in te distance and a husky and low voice said, "Son! What the......I've been looking for you!"

The boy blinked as he looked at Hermione. "I'll see you again, Beaver toothed lady!"

Before Hemione could respond, the little boy ran out of the office in lightning speed into his father's arms.

She leant back into her desk chair. "Those little kids! Don't know manners these days......" She sighed as she got back to the workload that has been pinned on her shoulders.

June 28, 2012. St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. 9:25 am.

Hermione yawned as she walked inside her big and spacious office. The black eye bags seems to have darkened and became more rounder with her recent fight with Ron.

This time, it was concerning about whether Hermione wants to do it with Ron.

"But Hermione! We have been married for five years! And we haven't even do it yet!" The red head shouted as Hermione flinched.

"But I'm not ready......." She said with a tired tone, not bothering with arguing with him.

"When are you going to be ready Hermione! You are a wet blanket! Why did I marry you in the first place!"

Hermione sniffed as fresh tears slid down her pale cheeks. "If you love me, you wouldn't bother about having sex with me......."

Ron exploded as his face grew red, "Then maybe I don't love you after all!" He said as he stormed out of the clean and modern with a red face

Hermione held in the tears that she had kept in for the whole day. Her puffed red eyes were concealed by an illusion charm she had placed on her eyes.

She walked into her office that had the golden words of Hermione Jean Granger-Weasely. DhP of curse breaking and a scholar at the Marvard School Of Medical Magic.

Hermione sighed when she saw the name beside her maiden name. She opened the mahogany wooden door and she yelped in surprise.

"What the.....M-Malfoy? W-What are you doing here? H-How did you get here in the first place?" She said as she faced her classmate/ex-enemy/Ex Co-head that hadn't seen for years.

Draco looked at Hermione with a troubled expression as a young bit popped out of Draco's shoulder.

She blinked at the young boy that she had met a week ago. "Hey! Mrs Weasely! I'm sick! Cure me please!" He said as he threw out a fake cough that the two adults noticed.

Draco looked at Hermione again, "Granger. He won't shut up about telling me to bring him to a doctor. I have tested for a fever but he's fine. He still won't give up though."

Hermione looked down at young Scorpius before she sighed and had a thought in her mind.

She looked at Draco, "If he continues to be like this, come see me again in another two weeks. I'll see what I can do." She said as she put on her professional voice but she was actually very nervous if Draco Malfoy is the same one whom would call her 'Mudblood'.

Draco nodded his head as he took the reluctant Scorpius Malfoy out of the office.

Hermione had her hopes down as he past her walking out of the office.

"Oh. It's nice to see you again Granger."

She turned around and was met with the smirking face of Draco Malfoy.

Hermione smiled back at Draco. "It's nice to meet you Malfoy."

12 July 2012.

St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. 3pm.

Hermione blinked away tears as she slammed the phone down on the reception, the conversation echoed in her mind.

"Hermione......I think it's best that you stop working at St Mungo's......" Ron asked quietly through the phone.

Hermione blinked as she answered with a curious tone. "But....Why Ron?" She asked as she looked at the reports of a person whom had Hypothermia.

"Because. I barely see you anymore! You don't have to worry about money because I got my pay check. 100 knuts! Can you believe Hermione!" Ron's excited voice rang out.

"That's nice Ron but.....I can't. I love my job here. I love doing something out of myself. And not lie back and let the money roll in just because I'm a war heroine." She said with a angered tone.

Ron was quiet for a while before shouting, "Is your job all you care for? What about is Hermione? We're already, what, 29? And we hadn't have a child yet!"

Hermione sighed as she felt what is coming, "No Ron. I'm not ready yet." She said with a steady and calm voice that is about to break."

"Fuck it Hermione! That's it! I'm staying over at Oliver Wood's house. You can call me when you decided to care about a living person than a piece of paper!" He cut off the call and Hermione was in tears by then.

Hermione sighed as she performed a cleaning spell on herself before going to the canteen to have her lunch.

When she got there, she saw a crowd of nurses surrounding a man with platinum colored hair.

She walked over to them and asked the bunch of giggling nurses that reminded her of Lavendar Brown and Parvati Patil when she overheard them talking.

"Draco Malfoy is surely my dream man! He's rich, handsome and rich!"

"Yeah! But I heard that his son had been effected by a muggle illness......A shame since he's a pureblood though."

"Yeah.....But Draco would be a good time to past at night."

Hermione clenched her fists as she walked past the two interns and purposely bumped into them.

She walked to Draco as she raised an eyebrow, "Is Scorpius still having those conditions?"

Draco blinked as he nodded gratefully and sadly to her. Hermione sighed as she brought all of them to her office. "I think that Scorpius has Hypochondriasis."

Draco looked at her, "Granger. I know that you're a bookworm and a muggle. But some of is has been raised in a wizarding community so please enlighten me?"

Hermione rolled her eyes, "Then please learn a bit about muggle medicine! It might do you good other than coming around and disturbing me all the time."

She took a deep breath, "Hypochondriasis or hypochondria (sometimes referred to as health phobia or health anxiety) refers to excessive preoccupancy or worry about having a serious illness. This debilitating condition is the result of an inaccurate perception of the condition of body or mind despite the absence of an actual medical condition. An individual suffering from hypochondriasis is known as a hypochondriac. Hypochondriacs become unduly alarmed about any physical or psychological symptoms they detect, no matter how minor the symptom may be, and are convinced that they have, or are about to be diagnosed with, a serious illness."

Draco looked at Hermione with a puzzled and a highly confused look. "Erm.....? I don't know what planet you came from but I know that that isn't English."

Hermione let out a troubled and annoyed breath before looking into Draco's grey eyes. "It means that Scorpius will always feel sick even if there is nothing is wrong with him. It's not physical Malfoy but mental!"

Draco was quiet before Hermione realised that she had raised her voice.

"Malfoy.....I'm sorry for rai-"

"Is there a cure?"

Hermione blinked as she thought of an answer, "There is but he has to develope it by himself." She said as she looked at Scorpius whom was playing with Hermione stethoscope.

Draco sighed as he looked at Scorpius with an exasperate look. "You are a load of trouble, aren't ya?" He said with a genuine smile that Scorpius smirked back. "Of course! I am a Malfoy and your son!"

Hermione really saw the love that Draco really has for the platinum colored hair. "Well......Getting a bit too over your head huh?" She remarked as she patted him.

Scorpius scrunched up his face, "Don't pat me! I'm not a pet!" He pouted as he stomped his foot that both adults remained of the brown haired bookworm.

They were both amazed by the four year old fondness for stomping his feet.

"Right." Hermione cleared her throat, "I think I can find a healer that is like a physiatrist and he-" She said and Draco was nodding until they were both cut off by Scorpius scream.

"No! I want to be healed by the old lady!" Hermione had her eyes widened before she huffed and tried to not blow we top at the younger boy.

"O-Old lady?! Excuse me but I'm only twenty nine!" She said as she glared at the smirking Malfoy.

"You know Granger, I think I have taught my son well to distinguish who is pretty and who is just an old hag." Draco retorted as he smirked.

Hermione glared at him as she threw her sandwich which he swiftly dodged. "Shut it Draco Malfoy!"

Draco's smirk widened even more, "Who gives you the right to shut my mouth? Unless you want to shut it for me?" She wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.

Hermione physically shuddered at the thought. "Please. I'll kiss you when you dye your hair pink!" She shot back as she looked at him.

Draco raised an eyebrow as he said, "Who said anything about kissing? You said it yourself."

Hermione opened her mouth to retort back but closed it and opened it again to close it so she looked a gaping fish. "I-I......Urgh! Draco Lucius Malfoy!"

She let out a struggled scream before stomping back to her office.

Scorpius stared at the angered woman with a curious stare, he tugged at his father's coat. "Erm....Daddy? Why is the pretty healer being like that?" He asked his father.

Draco chuckled at his son as he replied with a smile, "I really did taught you well......" He said as he grabbed his son's hand and led him back home.

July 22, 2012. St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. 9:00 am.

Hermione sat in her office chair, her eyes closed to prevent any tears from falling. Ron's words echoed in her head.

"Bloody Hell Hermione! Since you're not getting any better, How about we get a divorce? I just......Lost all love for you. It's not you, It's me........Actually it is all your fault. Your fault."

Everything is my fault......
Hermione sniffed as the door swung open and in came Draco and Scorpius Malfoy. "Hey Granger! Scorpius he- What's wrong?"

He asked when he spotted Hermione's red and blotchy eyes. Scorpius peeked at her behind Draco's shoulder and his eyes widened. Draco said to him son, "Scorpius.....I think it's better if you wait outside. We have to talk adult matters."

And to the blond-haired man's surprisemet, Scorpius nodded and ran outside the office.

Draco then turned to Hermione and asked with a stoic face. "Granger. Spill it."

Hermione suddenly cried and let the distracted tears inside, "Oh....Malfoy! I don't know what went wrong! I thought that I would be happy with Ron but with all of these fighting and shouting. I didn't think it would end up like this! And now he's asking for a divorce! Malfoy......." She sobbed even harder.

Draco moved closer to her and hugged the crying woman. "There there Granger. It'll be alright."

Hermione looked up at him and raised an eyebrow, "H-How would you know? You have always been Mr Sex God. You never understand a failing realationship."

Draco suddenly had a cold face on as he looked at her. "Actually, I do have. My marriage with Astoria Greengrass isn't exactly the best marriage in the while world."

Draco patted the crying woman on the back as Hermione hiccuped. "Oh..... I-I'm sorry for opening my big mouth. I didn't mean to Malfoy."

Draco, the slimiest Slytherin that has ever been accepted into Hogwarts, innocently smiled at her. "Don't worry Granger. How about we go out and grab a coffee and a hot chocolate with Scorpius and talk about our potential ex-lover's darkest secret and laugh at them."

Hermione was taken back at his smile as she stood up and smiled at him while casting a cleaning spell to clean her face. "Sure Malfoy." She smiled as she walked out if her office with Scorpius bouncing at their tail.

September 13, 2012. St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. 3:46 pm.

Hermione smiled as she walked through the many shops that held on such interest for her except for one certain toy shop that has Harry, dressed in a Slytherin Quidditch uniform, flying when you press a button.

Although her pride of being a Gryffindor tells her to charm the uniform into being red, her growing love for little Scorpius that had developed over the two months had overwhelmed her as she entered the shop and asked the shopkeeper to wrapped it up.

Hermione held the green and silver gift in her hands as she went to a fire place, scooped some floo powder from a little bag she has and throw it there and shouted, "Malfoy Manor!"

She appeared in the big an gigantic manor, she heard a child scream as her eyes widened as she placed the gift on a nearby table and took out her wand as she silently stalked to the place where she had heard the scream.

She opened a door quietly and peeped in through the creek, "You dirty bloody child! You should deserve to die! Crucio!" A high pitched feminine voice said as she uttered one of the three Unforgivables.

Hermione saw Scorpius writhing on the floor as he had tear stains on his face. "You stupid child! A pureblood whom has a muggle illness! I wish you would die! Avada Keda-"

Before Astoria could finish her sentence, a lou, brave and extremely angry voice echoed in the room. "Stupefy!" She shouted and Astoria's back hit the wall and slumped down, unconcious.

Hermione ran straight to Scorpius and cradled him in her arms, Scorpius grabbed Hermione's cardigan and cried into her. The whole scene made Hermione's heart break at the sight of it. "Mu-Mummy say that she doesn't love me anymore......She said that I was a disgrace to purebloods everywhere." He sniffed.

Hermione bit her bottom lip and hugged the little child. "Shhh.....Don't cry.....You'll get better, Don't worry."

Five years later.

Hermione stood at the platform as she fussed over Scorpius, "Now...You have everything? Your chest, jacket and your medicine?" She asked as Draco chuckled, "Now now Hermione. Don't fuss over him while Rose is banging into walls." He said as he motioned to the girl whom is walking while reading.

Hermione chuckled as she walked over to her daughter, "Rosie....You're going to walk into a wall." She said as Rose walked towards her. Hermione and Draco hugged both of their children and step children. (In Hermione's case)

"H-Hey Hermione. Fancy seeing you here." A voice said as Hermione turned around and smiled awkwardly. "Hello Ron....Sending your child to Hogwarts?" She asked as Ron slowly but uneasily nodded.

A small head peeped out of Ron's head and looked at Hermione with a wide smile. "'Ello Miss! My name's Hugo!" He said with a cheery voice as a pregnant lady came.

"Oh. Granger! Fancy seeing you here." Lavender Weasley said with a haughty voice as she stood beside Ron. "Imagining Hugo was your son? I would too if I was in your shoes. Feeding your cats regularly?" She snickered.

The snark comment didn't fazed her at all as she smiled politely, "No but I am with m-"

She was cut off short when a loud sound of three voices attracted the Weasley's and Hermione as Draco,Scorpius and Rose came running to Hermione.

Only then did Ron and Lavender notice the stunning and expensive green ring that is held securely around Hermione's ring finger.

"What? You got married to Malfoy? Of all people?" Lavendar shrieked as Ron pulled her away with Hugo waving happily at Hermione and her family.

A loud whistle rang out as Hermione and Draco hugged their little family. "C'mon then Scorpius! Don't want to be late now, won't you?" Hermione smiled but Scirpius had a nervous expression.

"But....Mum.......What happens......If I got into Gryffindor or Slytherin and one of my conditions appeared..... What happens if I humiliate your or dad's house?" Scorpius asked.

Hermione smiled as she crouched down to Scorpius' height, "Every house isn't perfect. Even Gryffindor. It is bound to have weird people once in a while. Like how Slytherin gotten Tom Riddle." She said Voldemont's with no fear.

"And like how Ravenclaw has somebody called Luna Lovegood which people call her Looney Lovegood. And how Hufflepuff had somebody named Nymphadora Tonks." She forced herself not to wept for Tonks. "And now Gryffindor will have a boy named Scorpius Malfoy. The first ever pureblood to have a muggle illness."

Draco smiled at Hermione as he kissed her cheek when he saw Scorpius' face brightened. "Okay! Then Gryffindor will have the first pure blood with a muggle illness as their captain in Quidditch!"

The whistle rang one last time before Scorpius kissed his parents and little sister on the cheek. "Bye Mum! Bye Dad! Bye Rosie!" He waved to his little sister, whom the four year old waved with her picture book, before going on the train with a Quiddich figure that looked like it was charmed to be a certain platinum haired adult.

Hermione smiled as she held Rose's little cherub hand and walked alongside Draco to a fireplace. "Never would I thought that after 24 coffee dates and five years of dating would made me end up with you."

Draco smiled as he held Hermione's hand, "Neither would I. But fate bit me on the brain. Can you heal me Nurse Granger?" He smirked as he motioned to Hermione's previous job of being Headnurse before she climbed her way up to be a Minitress of Health.

Hermione laughed as she carried Rose in her hands, "You'll Get Better. Don't Worry About It."
