Now, I don't know what has happened with my Night Nurse Show website!?


My friend Rowley and I have been working on the new website and had it directed to the night nurse show site so we could host everything off there as I still hold and pay for the hosting and I have storage there and everything. Now, I didn't renew the domain name and I have a bad feeling that it's been gotten to from under my nose. I mean, I can't access my FTP or the new website's Wordpress blog. I have contacted the domain host to find out what has happened and hopefully we can get it sorted out.

The weird thing is though what shows up when you type in the old Night Nurse Show website address. I have NO IDEA who has written it. Mind, surely it's fan (with an iphone from what I can see) that has written it cause they gave quite a good description of the show. I would love to know who did it .....

.....well, as I have been writing this dr_athiest has tweeted me and as done a whois search and I have some dude's details. Now, what do I do? Drop him and email and try to sort this out?

Anyway, as I said, I like what he wrote and just in case it does go down, I thought I would copy and paste it here for prosperity

Yes, nearly two months since I did a Live Journal post. I wish I could say that it's cause I have been so busy that there has been no way I could sit down and do a proper post. But alas, I can't. I have just been lazy but this week, even though it's going to be a bit hectic socially, I will do a LJ post.

It's been a year of big changes but I think they have worked out good so far so I can't complain. I think as the years have gone by, the more chilled out things really are so I count myself fortunate to have not had any really big events happen this year. Maybe that will change next but I am hoping that with some of what I have planned next year that the big events will all be good things.

I am typing this out cause I need this off my chest. I am SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW cause after a 12 hour day and then a relaxing pint with my manager, I made my way home to find the trains totally up the spout at London Bridge station. Not only had I missed the train I wanted by a minute, I had a half an hour wait. That turned into a 45 min wait due to the delayed trains.

When my train arrived, it arrived short though I was lucky enough to be standing exactly where the door was to stop. After the people got off, I got a seat next to a lady with a small bag in her lap and a box on the leg facing me. I knocked the box slightly and though she was handsfree on the phone, she gave me a dirty look. Noticing she was on the phone but not tolerating the dirty look the following exchange took place:

Me: *said aloud* "You could put the box on the rack"
Women: *stops her call* "It's fragile"
Me: "Ok, whatever"
Women: "You shouldn't be rude to me and if you have something to say, say it to me!!"
Me: "I wasn't being rude, if you put that bag on the rake and put the box...
Women: *interupts* "YOU WERE BEING RUDE"
Me: "Actually, I wasn't but...."
Women: "I'm chattin' to my mum yeah.......these crazy people on the train"
Me: "Now who is being rude?"
Women: "I'm on the phone.......idiot!"

At this point, she continued with her conversation and I looked to see that the train was beyond packed and people were screaming at people to move down where there was no room. There was no way I could move to another seat. This was not good cause I was shaking with anger....or cold, I am not sure but I was shaking!

I shut my mouth though. I took out my ipod, hit a song and sat for 10 min till my stop to think of a way I could piss this women off without causing a scene. Obviously, there were lots of thought about taking her stupid box and stomping on it or throwing it out the window or snatching her iphone out of her hand and then throwing it back at her really trying to ignore the violence that was going through my head that I could never ever put into actual action. I really was upset and angry. It really isn't nice to be stuck sitting next to a person that has insulted you for no reason.

When I got to my stop, I got up. I looked at her till she noticed and looked up at me. I half smiled at her and I shook my head slowly looking at her for about 10 seconds. I didn't see her say anything and if she did behind my back, I will never know cause I had my music on loud enough in my ears not to hear her but I just hope to the higher power out there that it pissed her off as much as I was.

I could go into how awesome and hectic my weekend is but that is going to have to wait as right not, I am after some serious buisness. Christmas presents. Importantly my brother's Christmas present.

My brother, when I asked him what he would like for Christmas informed me that he would like an Electric Guitar and a small amp. Something he can plug his headphones into. He's had an acoustic guitar for years and well, I guess it's natural he would want something to make some real noise with.

Now, I have looked on Ebay and I know Argos do little packages of a guitar and an amp but I thought about it and well, it's a recession, we are all trying to save a bit of money. Also, thinking about it, what is the possibilty of having a friend on here or somewhere online that has an electric guitar gathering dust in the back of a cubboard or in the corner of their bedroom looking good but has not been picked up in years thinking "someday I should sell that". I am thinking that that possiblity is high.

My point - does anyone have an electric guitar and possibly a small amp they would be willing to sell? I do have a budget but if by any chance you do, make an offer and we can take it from there. Ideally, I am looking for one that is stringed and actually works. Basically, it can be instantly pluged in and away he goes - instant rock star. Being tuned isn't an issue, he can do that and if they strings aren't all that great - not the end of the world, he can get it restringed at some point in the future.

This could be a good opportunity for someone out there to get rid of something that is cluttering up the place and make a bit of extra dosh for Christmas presents as well as helping me out as shopping can be stressful enough around this time of year and even though I am probably the most rockin motherfucker you know, I am no musician and don't know much about buying a guitar.

After the PC crashing on me today and loosing the whole show I did, I managed to get fire up the laptop and the lovely Garageband got me through and I did a new podcast demo for the new show I want to do.

Can someone tell me, what the fuck is the difference between Dreamwidth and Live Journal.

From what I can see, the design is almost identical, your friends are not called "friends", they are called "subscribers" and you have "access" to them. Sounds all so clinic and prentious if you ask me...

Plus, if you are just going to post inane crap like you do on here, why both when you can do it on here!?

On May 11th, I posted the following:

I have a iBook G4 12inch Spece Here which I would like to sell. There are a couple of things wrong with it.

-The battery seems to go quickly. It should be three hours life but it feels more like two. When full it says 94% which I don’t think is a good thing.

-The airport card is dead. If I turn it on, I kernel panic instantly and have to shut down. Till there is a replacement airport card, it will need to be plugged in to use the net.

-Turning it on is an issue. Sometimes, when I turn the machine on, nothing happens. I can hear it ticking slightly but no light and no little Apple symbol. I have to turn it on and off again to get it to “turn over”. 60% of the time though, it turns on like normal. I have been informed that a possible fix for this problem is to reinstall OSX. I have the disc somewhere and I am going to do this reinstall this week and see if it rememdies the problem.

Other than that, it works beautifully. With all that, I have a friend that is willing to buy it for £150.00. Now, tell me, am I short changing myself or am I ripping him off?

Most of the comments from that post, a few people said it would be a reasonable amount to offer to sell such a machine.

The unfortunate thing is that after coming around last night to have a look at it, he decided that he didn't want to buy it.

Shit.

So, I am putting it out there to you lot first. Would any of you be interested in taking it off my hands or know anyone that would? With it's faults, it could be sold for just parts but it does to an extent work and if I wasnt't absolutely desperate for the money, I probably wouldn't be selling it but I was kinda banking on that cash and I need to sell it.

Please feel free to repost this on your journals etc and or let me know if you are interested. I will even throw in a laptop bag -click here for a pic but the one I have is Orange and Black I have for this for the price. The bag is in perfect condition as I have barely used it.

If I don't get any interest by Sunday, I will be listing it on Ebay which I will probably post a link to here anyway.

Worse comes to worse, there are connections that will be tapped but I would rather a ticket in my hand to ensure entry. Fingers crossed.

....thinking maybe a regional show might be cool as well.....hmmmm....we'll see!
