The Academic Testing Center offers two types of academic testing:

SPRING 2026
Language Exam Calendar
Exams hosted on Canvas open at 10:00am PST. Students will have a window of 24 hours to complete the exam in one sitting. For specific time limits for each test, please read the detailed description on the desired page.
Please visit our registration portal to sign up for an exam. The table below lists which exams are available for registration on ZotSpot.
Note: Exams marked with an asterisk (*) serve as both Placement and Exemption exams. If you require exemption testing in any of these languages, register for the placement exam through our registration portal.

Arabic

French Placement

Additional Information:
- The French Placement Exam helps you decide which lower-division French course will best match your current skills and knowledge.
- Students who score 81% or above on the written part of the exam may participate in an optional oral interview to determine final placement into French 2B or 2C.

French Exemption

Location:

- Registration is available through ZotSpot.
Requirements:
- Students who score 75% or above on the written part of the exam are eligible for an oral interview, and will be contact by French faculty for scheduling.
Additional Information:
- The French Exemption Exam evaluates existing knowledge of the French language and may exempt students through the 2C level.
