PLAYER INFORMATION- Name/Nickname: Hedgehogey AIM/E-mail/Contact: taoofcrime@aol.com Personal Journal: no personal
CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Character and Series: Kallen/Karen, Code Geass Age: 18 Gender: F Faction: Fremen (Preservers)
Appearance: Kallen is a slim girl with red hair and startlingly blue eyes, although they are not quite the blue-within-blue of total spice addiction. She is wiry, with very little “waterfat”. Her hair is unruly but swept back and held in place with a headband Personality: Kallen is way tsundere. She presents a prickly exterior to the world , but she's rather vulnerable on the inside. Few people get that close, however. She often feels as if she lives and belongs in two worlds, the civilized world of the city and the savagery of the desert. Loyalty to her cause is very important to her, as is acting ethically. She would rather die than betray any of her comrades Abilities/Weapons: Kallen is a formidable combatant. During the war, she was one of the few rebels to pilot a captured ornithopter, with which she would sweep out of desert rock formations let loose rockets then be lost in the rocks before pursuit could be organized. Out of the cockpit she is a formidable combatant too, skilled in use of the crysknife and weirding way. Having spent years among the fremen, she is adept at desert survival and stealth, although not yet a wormrider. Weaknesses: Kallen is obstinate and headstrong, tending not to listen to advice even when it would do her good. She has a temper that runs hot at all times. She's rather socially awkward, having had her childhood abruptly cut short. She's rather poor. History: Kallen was born the daughter of an Arrakeen water merchant/importer and his Fremen servant girl. She had one older brother, Naota, who was born and raised among his mother's family in the sietches. Her father held to his position in the local aristocracy, providing first for the Harkonnen, then the Atreides. Her brother, however, joined the fremen insurgency. The turmoil and worry proved too much for Kallen's (real) mother who turned to the drug Semuta to ease the pain of having to live and serve in the house of a man who hated her. For teenaged Kallen, this was the last straw. She quit school and ran away to the desert. When she reached her brother's sietch, however, she found that he had been killed by the imperial Sardaukar. She took his headband in remembrance and joined the insurgency herself, now in its dying embers. For years, she fought and trained under the fedaykin who remained, a child soldier who, with her knowledge of city ways, proved an effective spy and occasional assasin. When the rebellion ultimately failed, she was forced to buy passage offworld with a band of smugglers . Laying low, she sold her skills in the arenas of Giedi Prime, homeworld of her enemies. In the past year, she's returned to Arrakis, hearing rumors that new rebel groups are forming. She serves as a liaison between the offworld idealists that have flocked to the planet and the desert Fremen.

This we know: The ancients destroyed themselves in the 60 Minutes War. Their superweapons left the American Empire and Greater China uninhabitable wastelands. The earth rumbled and bled for eons afterwards. Yet from this destruction the Traction Cities merged. London was the first city to be made mobile. Soon the rest would follow suit until almost all the world's cities moved on tracks and wheels, floated on rafts and gasbags or skated across the ice on giant skis. Yet fuel was not infinite. To survive, the cities turned to cannibalism. Big cities ate smaller cities, smaller cities ate towns, towns ate villages and everyone ate barbaric 'static' settlements. The eaten would be stripped down for fuel and raw materials, sifted through for valuables, their population enslaved or assimilated. It is the year 13,000 After Quirke. The age of Municipal Darwinism is at its height. Great Urbivores devour each other across the hunting grounds of Europe, oblivious to the threats of the Green Storm and Anti-Traction League. Who will you be in this Steampunk Dystopia? Mayor of a hunting city? A worker shoveling coal in its engines? A Green Storm fanatic? A Lost Boy thief? An Airship Trader plying the Skylanes? Whatever role you choose, welcome to Metrophage. Welcome to the future of survival.
