TEMS (Test Mobile System) is a professional suite of wireless network testing and optimization tools, originally developed by Ericsson and now marketed by Infovista. Built for mobile operators, network vendors, and consultants, TEMS supports drive and walk testing across 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G NR, and IoT technologies (NB-IoT and LTE-M). It controls smartphones and scanners to collect RF and service KPIs, decodes Layer 3 signaling, and measures end-user quality of experience for voice, data, VoLTE/VoNR, and video. Engineers use TEMS to validate new sites, perform acceptance and optimization, troubleshoot coverage and interference issues, and conduct competitive benchmarking. Scriptable test plans, automated workflows, GPS-tagged measurements, and real-time visualization help accelerate rollouts and improve network performance. Post-processing and reporting are supported through TEMS Discovery, which provides advanced analytics, mapping, and customizable dashboards.
