Eligibility

  1. Participants must be aged 13-20 years old.
  2. Open to individuals or teams of up to 5 members.

Project and Submission Requirements

  • Projects must address the theme of bridging the technology gap in education. Solutions should be innovative, practical, and aimed at empowering under-resourced communities.

Judging Criteria

  • Innovation: Evaluate the originality and creativity of the solution presented. Look for innovative approaches and unique ideas that demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Impact: Assess the potential impact and scalability of the solution. Consider how effectively the solution addresses the problem statement and its potential to make a positive difference in the intended context.
  • Feasibility: Determine the practicality and implementability of the solution. Evaluate whether the solution can be realistically developed and deployed, considering available resources and constraints.
  • Technical Quality: Examine the technical execution of the project. Review the quality of the code, the efficiency of the solution, and the thoroughness of the documentation.
  • Presentation: Evaluate the clarity and effectiveness of the project presentation. Consider the quality of the video demonstration, the comprehensiveness of the documentation, and how well the project is communicated overall.

Winner Selection

  • Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges, including industry experts, educators, and TechLit representatives.
  • Each judge will score the projects based on the criteria outlined above.
  • Scores from all judges will be averaged to determine the top projects.
  • Winners will be selected based on the highest average scores. In the event of a tie, the panel of judges will deliberate to select the final winners.

Announcement of Winners

  • Winners will be announced at the closing ceremony of the hackathon.
  • Winners will also be notified via email and announced on the TechLit website and social media channels.

Feedback

  • Participants will receive feedback from the judges on their submissions, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
