ScamShield is a hackathon for students who want to tackle a real-world cybersecurity problem: online scams and social engineering. Teams will design and prototype web/desktop apps, simulations, training experiences, dashboards, or interactive demos that help users identify red flags, verify suspicious messages, and choose safer next steps.

Requirements

 

  • Project name + short tagline (1 sentence)

  • Demo video or live demo recording link (2–3 minutes recommended)

  • Project description: problem, solution, who it’s for, and how it works

  • Working prototype or clickable prototype link (GitHub, website, Figma, downloadable, etc.)

  • Build notes: tools/tech used + what you would do next with more time
