Important Terms

These terms include a number of important provisions that affect your rights and responsibilities, such as the disclaimers in Disclaimers, limits on the ABB’s liability to you in Limits on Liability, your agreement to cover ABB for damages caused by your misuse of the forum in Responsibility for Your Use, and an agreement to arbitrate disputes in Disputes.

Purpose and Basic Description

The main purpose of this Community is to provide a platform for developers for ABB Robotics products where you, from all over the world, can exchange ideas and inspire each other to find solutions for specific use cases and/or troubleshoot issues that may have arisen.

It is also a way for the developers of ABB Robotics products to contact the user base in order to receive feedback on their work and suggestions for new features.

Finally, this Community functions as an easily accessible knowledge base: a question you may have could have already been asked and answered by other users.

With this philosophy in mind, users who are experiencing problems due to potential product defects or similar could always create a thread asking the user base for help.

Your Permission to Use the Forum

Subject to these terms, ABB gives you permission to use the forum. Everyone needs to agree to these terms to use the forum.

Antitrust Compliance

This is a community with people from different companies, some of which may be seen as competitors. As a user in the Community, you commit to strict compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to antitrust and competition.

Each user acknowledges that, in line with applicable antitrust laws, any exchange of commercially sensitive information (CSI), whether on the chat or on posts, is prohibited. Each user therefore commits to not disclose to or exchange CSI with other users in the Community, meaning non-public information about:

  • Prices and pricing elements (e.g., current or future prices, discounts, rebates, price calculation methods, promotions), pricing strategy, planned price changes (increases or reductions) etc.

  • Commercial strategy (e.g., current or future intentions about how to address market developments, market entry, market exit etc.)

  • Technical designs or specifications, intellectual property rights and know-how

  • Detailed sales revenue or sales volumes (incl. market shares), sales territories, order position, marketing and distribution strategies, customer lists, sales to specific customers, content of sales agreements, terms of sale etc.

  • Offers, bids planned or made, incl. technical specifications and terms & conditions

  • Specific supplier information, purchase volumes, purchase prices, content of purchase agreements etc.

  • Cost structures, profit margins, production capacity, capacity utilization, output, or investments in production capacity etc.

  • R&D plans and their results, other investments etc.

  • Any other information that may be commercially sensitive.

Any breach of this provision by a user in the Community will be considered a violation of these Guidelines and lead to the immediate exclusion from the Community.
