So, I've pretty much fallen completely out of fandom. I've no time or interest anymore. I was planning on writing this long and windy post about what's been happening, but it would be pointless. So this page will pretty much go abandoned for a bit longer. Just know, my daughter is amazing - she'll be 7 months on Thursday, and I'm fighting my employer about my job.

I've thought a lot about whether or not I should post anything. I'm not here enough. But I figure why not. I told you all about the insanity around infertility treatments - even if I did leave off the bit about the retrieval, being too stimulated to do the transfer that month, waiting, hormone injections, the transfer, more hormone injections, and the wait.

I knew three days after the transfer. I waited another three to do a home test. Then two more to get the blood work confirm from the infertility doctor. So here I am, telling you all, that I'm pregnant (11 weeks today!) and due January 13th!


This was our announcement card. We're at our favorite vacation spot. The small jersey between us says "gołabki." That's stuffed cabbage in Polish. Yes. We opted for that instead of peanut or bean or whatever. It's amusing to us.

It's an exciting time, to be sure. I'm generally very happy and over the moon. Except. I was so so sick for the first seven weeks after the transfer. Like, I lost 10 pounds because I couldn't eat. The nausea and lack of appetite was constant. At least I wasn't puking too. All that went away about 2 weeks ago, and my appetite is slowly coming back. I've gained back about 1.5 pounds.

The hormones have been INSANE. Generally happy, but I get really down very easily now. I could be sitting around watching tv or reading, and suddenly all I want to do is cry.

It also doesn't help that I'm diabetic. If you don't know, diabetes can cause all sorts of problems to unborn babies (overly large in size, respiratory distress, premature birth, hypoglycemia and seizures after birth, and even death), not to mention it puts me at higher risk of developing preeclampsia, which comes with it's own horrible problems. So, I'm now on insulin. I don't mind this at all, actually. What I do mind is that my diet had to suddenly and drastically change pretty much overnight. I have to seriously watch my carbohydrate intake. Which means that pretty much all my comfort foods are now off-limits. It sucks.

I have been sick, tired, and denied the foods I love most. I swing between being okay and being deeply depressed over it. I can't understand - at least not yet - how people love being pregnant. Especially if they have medical issues that make them high risk. So yes. I'm very, very glad I am pregnant. I just hate being pregnant.

Is there anyone out there that can point me in the direction of good LJ Check, please! comms? I'm pretty sure emmagrant01 can point out some good ones, but is there anyone else in OMGCP fandom?

I have a WesternDigital external hard drive that I use Time Machine on to back up. Back in 2011, when I used to have a different MacBook, I backed up my system. Since I no longer have that system, and my current back ups are more than adequate, I'd like to delete that old stuff.

Problem is, because it's a Time Machine backup, you can't actually do it the usual way. I wouldn't normally mind, but it's got a shit load of super large files (music, movies, tv shows, repeated files, etc.) that are taking up a good amount of precious space.

I know I could just go out and buy a new external drive, but I'd rather not. Anyone know how I could delete that old stuff?

I was writing up this long entry about stuff. Accidentally clicked the wrong button and it's all gone.

Fuck it. Not re-writing it.

TL;DR: I haven't been on my Prozac for just over 2 weeks because the pharmacy hasn't refilled my prescription since they haven't gotten the okay from the doctor.

Friends are going through their own BS. Hating that I can't help my friends as much as I wish I could.

Best friend is "seeing" a guy that is calling himself a Dom. She asked if I read 50 Shades (I think he used it as an example). Went on to tell her why that's such a bad bad bad example of the BDSM lifestyle. Am seriously worried for her.

Started talking to friend that I I haven't talked to in a long while after thinking I had a sort of relationship with. We are starting to get back to where we were, but I have to watch myself, because I could easily fall back in love with her, but I will just wind up heartbroken again. Must avoid.

Husband is starting to piss me off again. Wondering if the whole baby thing with him is worth it.

I think my iphone is finally starting to die. I get messages, but it doesn't do the little alert sound all the time anymore. Also, it tends to hang when sending texts or changing apps or pushing the home button. I thought I'd be able to upgrade sooner, but it appears I won't be able to update until March 1st.

*sigh* Hope it won't completely die.
