School Theme for 2025/26: God is Love

Theme Verse:I John 4:7-8 Beloved let us Love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not Love does not know God because God is Love.

Spring Membership Meeting isplanned for May 11th @ 8pm in the school gymnasium. All members are encouraged to attend. Packages were sent to the membership via email and will be available at the meeting. Please email office@tbcs.school or call 939-1209 if you have not received the package.

Tuition Statements were sent home this week to all families with an outstanding balance. These statements are current as of May 5, 2026. Please note, they are sent home for informational purposes only to help families know where they are at with current payments and what is owing yet. All 2025-2026 tuition payments are due no later than June 30, 2026. Any questions or concerns, please contact Emily Streutker at emily@tbcs.school or by phone @ 807-939-1209.

Spiritual Life @ TBCS: This past week’s Chapel topic was 1 Corinthians 13:4: ?Love is patient,?love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  In Jr. Chapel, we studied the story Jesus told of The Good Samaritan, who rescued and helped a Jewish man after he was robbed and severely wounded, even though at the time Jewish people hated and despised people from Samaria.  The students realized that God can help us be patient, kind, and loving towards people who are not patient, kind, or loving towards us!

In Sr. Chapel, Pastor Anthony Fiorito came to share from Murillo Baptist Church.  He clearly articulated that the love described in the Bible is a self-sacrificing kind of love, and that we canonly love others this way because Jesus first loved us.  It is my prayer that we as staff, students, and families continue to open our hearts to Jesus, so that He can fill us with His supernatural love.

It was very cold Wednesday but we’re so proud of our athletes who braved it to get some practice in! Congrats also to TCH’s first EVER grade 12 track & field athletes,  Sarah and Owen! Thank you to the supportive parents cheering as well! Next week Wednesday’s meet will have all the events that this meet did not. We probably won’t get a practice in, so that will be our practice night! Mrs. Lemieux will coach the team there. Spiritual Life @ TBCS: This week at TBCS, our Bible Study Buddies spent half an hour outside working together to clean up the school yard.  It was a blessing to see the younger and older students exhibiting team work while also serving our school community.  Throughout the school year, we have been learning that God is love and that His love in us is exemplified when we lay our lives down for the sake ofothers. It is such a powerful experience when our students get the opportunity to live out the Biblical principles we are learning in Chapel!

Spiritual Life @ TBCS: This past week we were blessed with a new sound system and projector screen to use in Chapel!  This really helped the students focus on the worship songs and in Sr. chapel, we watched 2 videos of young people sharing powerful testimonies of God moving in and through their lives.  We focused on 1 Corinthians 13:3:  3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, [a]but do not have love, I gain nothing.  We also read the story of The Widow’s mite to better understand how God looks at the heart and not the outwork works we do.

Spiritual Life @ TBCS: This week in Bible Study Buddies we continued learning about the life changing transformation of Saul to Paul while studying 1 Corinthians 13:1. Our Grade 6-12 students led their younger buddies in prayer using a five-finger prompt of praise, gratitude, repentance, asking for personal needs, and asking for the needs of others.

Next, the older buddies read a condensed version of Paul’s previous life as a persecutor of Christians, and how the Lord revealed Himself to Paul.  The main activity of the day was to make a comic strip, putting the events of Paul’s life in order.

Finally, the buddies reviewed 1 Corinthians 13:1 and what we learned about it in Chapel the week prior:

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.”

Grandparents & Special Friends Day: We are looking forward to hosting Grandparents and Special Friends on April 24th at 1:15pm in the school Gymnasium. Join us for goodies and fellowship! Each family is asked to bring one dozen of a baking item to serve at the tea. Please bring your baking to the school by the morning of Friday April 24th  so that the promotions committee can have them plated for the tea.

Skate-a-thon: Thank you to all who took part in the skate-a-thon! Please hand in your sponsor sheets with the money collected. Some sponsors like to pay directly to the school as they sponsor other students as well and prefer to make only one payment.  Other sponsors pay directly to the student with cash or cheque. Please ensure that addresses are included for sponsors who wish to receive a tax receipt.E-transfer to cash@tbcs.school.

Spiritual Life @ TBCS: This past week we studied 1 Corinthians 13:1-2 in both Jr. and Sr. Chapel:

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.?If I have the gift of prophecy?and can fathom all mysteries?and all knowledge,?and if I have a faith?that can move mountains,?but do not have love, I am nothing.

In Jr. Chapel we learned about the Apostle Paul and how God radically changed him and made him into a new person.  We also looked carefully at the verses and realized that loving others is more important to God than praying fancy prayers, being smart, or having a strong faith.  We used some of the cymbals from the Music Room to illustrate this point in both Chapels.

In Sr. Chapel, Pastor Jeremy from Transformation Church came in and used a game he created and the story of the Good Samaritan to drive home the meaning of 1 Corinthians 13:1-2.  He used stories and situations relatable to our Sr. students and clearly explained how important loving others is to the Lord.

Grandparents & Special Friends Day: We are looking forward to hosting Grandparents and Special Friends on April 24th at 1:15pm in the school Gymnasium! Invitations will be sent home in the coming days for the students to hand out to their Grandparents/Special Friends. Each family is asked to contribute one dozen baking items to be dropped off at the school no later than Friday April 24th.

In the mornings, if your child(ren) is/are not attending please email or call the office to confirm. In the afternoon if your child(ren) is/are not on the bus please call the office to confirm. The office has a communication routine so that the teachers, bus drivers and administration are all on the same page and every child is safely accounted for. Thank you.

School Theme for 2025/26: God is Love

Theme Verse:I John 4:7-8 Beloved let us Love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not Love does not know God because God is Love.

Payment for School Outings: If you committed to a field trip and your child subsequently was unable to attend due to illness, appointments, sporting events, etc., the amount owing must still be paid to the school student fund. These outings are typically “pre-paid” for by the school, so any amount not paid by parents comes out of the school’s funds. Please e-transfer payment to cash@tbcs.school.

Morning drop-off and pick-up reminder: Just a reminder that children are to be dropped off at the school no earlier than 8:30am in the morning and picked up no later than 3:25pm after school. Staff can not be responsible for your children before or after these times. Thank you for your understanding!

Spiritual Life @ TBCS: This week in Bible Study Buddies the partners read through the Biblical Easter Story together and drew simple illustrations to show their understanding of each event.  Next, they cut out each event, folded it and put it inside of an empty Easter Egg, representing the empty tomb of Jesus Christ on Easter morning.  The eggs were sent home in hopes that families would enjoy reading the Easter events from the Bible together, followed by the challenge of sorting the events into the sequence in which they actually happened.  Happy Easter- Jesus is alive!

TBCS Clothing: Represent your school with TBCS clothing! Orders are due April 6th. The stores for elementary and high school can be found here:
