About the Challenge

The Taskformer Business Pitch Competition is the ultimate platform for aspiring student entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative ideas and turn them into reality. This competition is the grand finale of Taskformer's 14-day startup accelerator program, designed to provide participants with a unique opportunity to pitch their business concepts to a panel of seasoned industry experts. With a format inspired by the Shark Tank experience, this high-stakes event gives students the chance to secure media coverage, attract sponsorships, and gain invaluable feedback from leading professionals.

Participants will present their startup ideas, demonstrating the skills and insights they've gained through the accelerator program. The competition emphasizes creativity, strategic thinking, and real-world application, pushing students to refine their pitches and business strategies. Winners of the competition will not only gain recognition but also receive exclusive post-program support, including access to a lifetime network of entrepreneurs, ongoing workshops, and mentorship opportunities to help them scale their businesses.

Get Started

To participate in the Taskformer Business Pitch Competition, students must first join our Discord server. Throughout the program, you will develop and refine your business idea with the guidance of industry experts, mentors, and fellow entrepreneurs. As you progress through the accelerator, you'll engage in expert panels, pitch coaching sessions, and weekly business report reviews that will prepare you to confidently present your idea during the final competition.

Once you've completed the accelerator, you will have the chance to pitch your business in front of a panel of judges in our Shark Tank-style competition. Requirements

What to Build

In the Taskformer Business Pitch Competition, participants are encouraged to develop innovative and scalable business ideas that solve real-world problems or explore new market opportunities. Your startup idea can span various industries, from technology and AI to sustainable products, social enterprises, or creative services.

Focus on the following key elements as you develop your business:

  • Problem-Solution Fit: Clearly articulate the problem your startup is addressing and how your product or service offers a unique and effective solution.
  • Market Potential: Demonstrate an understanding of your target market, including customer needs, market size, and competitive landscape.
  • Business Model: Outline a clear and sustainable business model, including your revenue streams, cost structure, and growth strategy.
  • Product Development: If applicable, provide evidence of product development, such as a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or prototype, to show progress and feasibility.
  • Vision and Impact: Convey your startup's long-term vision and potential impact, whether on the industry, community, or a specific market segment.
What to Submit

For the Taskformer Business Pitch Competition, you need to submit the following materials:

  1. Pitch Video: A 2-3 minute video where you introduce your team and provide an overview of your business idea. This video should effectively communicate your startup's value proposition, the problem you're solving, and your plan for execution. It’s your chance to make a strong impression on the judges, so be clear, concise, and passionate.

  2. Business Report or Pitch Deck: Choose to submit either a detailed business report or a pitch deck:

    • Business Report: A comprehensive document (up to 15 pages) that covers all aspects of your business, including market research, product development, financial projections, and operational strategy.
    • Pitch Deck: A concise slide presentation (10-15 slides) that summarizes your business idea, market opportunity, business model, and go-to-market strategy. This should be visually appealing and easy to understand.
  3. Prototype or MVP (if applicable): If your startup involves a product or technology, you can also submit a prototype, MVP, or demo to showcase its functionality. This could include screenshots, a demo video, or a live link to an online product.
