To achieve this, we welcome a broad mix of individuals from different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives to apply. We invite you to consider joining our dynamic team.

Structured Interviews
We utilize structured interviews with a standard set of questions for every candidate, in order to promote fairness and impartiality. This approach ensures that every candidate is evaluated using the same criteria.

Beyond Hiring: Sustaining an Inclusive Environment
Recruitment is just the first step. We support every team member’s success through continuous learning, engagement, and development opportunities.

Join us in making The Task Force not just a place to work but a community where everyone’s contributions are valued and celebrated.

The Task Force has a mission-driven, entrepreneurial culture. We seek team members who are flexible, willing to take on new challenges and who have a growth mindset. We practice high levels of collaboration within and among all of our programs. We regularly share updates and best practices through Community of Practice meetings and identify opportunities for increasing our collective impact.

Our culture is collegial, and we focus on building relationships in the workplace. As a result, we recognize exceptional contributions but value humility. The people whom we serve are always our focus. We are unrelenting and optimistic about the prospects for a healthier world.

We source our talent from a wide-ranging and diverse pool of individuals with the education, training, and professional experience needed for our work. Because of this, our team members, many who are bi-lingual or multi-lingual, reflect the international nature of our work.

Although most programmatic positions require a public health background, we actively recruit people from other fields who can leverage their skills for our work.

We nurture the growth of our staff, including supporting professional development to build technical and leadership skills through our ELEVATE Mentorship Program. Many positions have opportunities for advancement within The Task Force. With nearly 20 programs our team members can pursue different opportunities across the organization.

Office culture is not solely the product of work between nine and five. Behind the breakthroughs and bustling productivity, The Task Force energizes its mission with creative teamwork, propelling camaraderie beyond work. Unique employee resource groups are the backbone of a culture that champions genuine connections.

These groups pave avenues for collaboration across The Task Force. They encourage cross-program interaction, allowing for an organic exchange of ideas that catapults personal growth among professionals.

Imagine walking into your office to be greeted by the aroma of fresh bagels, laughter spilling out of conference rooms turned into game lounges, or holiday celebrations that feel like a family gathering—and you’ve barely scratched the surface of The Task Force’s event catalog.

Essentially, while The Task Force is your immediate work group, Emory University provides crucial Human Resources assistance through the hiring process and during an employee’s career. The university’s HR structure supports The Task Force’s commitment to our staff members’ continuous professional growth, job satisfaction, and overall well-being.

The Task Force’s HR team is a valuable extension of the Emory HR network available to our employees. Combined with the benefits offered by Emory and our internal support system, you will have access to many resources designed to empower you throughout your journey with us.

We are looking for exceptional students interested in meaningful global health experiences. We take on interns and fellows from many backgrounds throughout the year to learn about and assist our programs and operations. We offer limited paid and unpaid internships and paid fellowships for currently enrolled students in high school, undergraduate, and graduate programs. Our goals are to provide students with opportunities to learn from world-renowned public health experts and experience working with partnerships. Under general supervision, students will receive exposure to broad and stimulating projects that will complement their academic and career interests. Depending on the school, students may also receive academic credit.

Interest in Student Employment
In addition to the posted opportunities, we now accept year-round internship interest forms from current undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university. Completed interest forms will be shared with the appropriate Task Force program contacts. The Task Force will review applications and select applicants based on their interests and The Task Force’s current ability to support their interests on a rolling basis.

We are working on formalizing a more structured internship program. Depending on program needs, specific student employment opportunities are posted on the EMORY Careers page and 12Twenty. Our website will be regularly updated with new opportunities. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at askhr@taskforce.org.

GSK Fellowship Opportunity
Since 2007, GSK has provided The Task Force with a grant to offer meaningful real-world experience and mentoring to graduate students pursuing degrees in disciplines related to global health. The Task Force selects two graduate students each year for an eight-week summer opportunity. The fellowship will compensate the fellow through a $2,500 stipend. When these positions are available, they will be posted through Emory.
