A movement built on partnership
The Migration Health Initiative (MHI) exists to support the health of people experiencing migration through partnerships, collaboration, and community-driven solutions.

Looking for NRC-RIM?
If you’re looking for the National Resource Center for Refugees, Immigrants, and Migrants (NRC-RIM), you’re in the right place.
In late 2024, NRC-RIM evolved into the Migration Health Initiative (MHI) and became a program of the Task Force for Global Health.

Capacity-Building
Toolkits
Toolkits are practical resources supporting organizations in program development, implementation, and evaluation. They include checklists, templates, sample budgets, facilitator guides, evaluations, etc.

Translated Health Education
Our health education campaigns and collections are informed by community perspectives and reflect the most accurate information from trusted public health authorities.

Training and Workforce Development
We have partnered with the University of Minnesota and the United Nations to address the medical needs of U.S.-bound refugees through workforce development and other projects.

Best and Promising Practices
In collaboration with our partners and through interviews with organizations and community leaders across the country, MHI has developed promising practices related to migration health promotion.

actually a whole section, pretty

from then it became my primary
source of information.”

Arabic speaker, having the Arabic

Work with MHI
We are interested in partnering with organizations in the U.S. and globally on public health projects and funding solicitations that benefit people experiencing migration.
If you are interested in partnering with us on a project and then creating capacity-building toolkits that allow anyone in the world to replicate our work, we want to talk to you.
