Eligibility

Open to high school and college students worldwide.

Participants can join as individuals or teams of up to 4 members.

No prior experience is necessary! Beginners are encouraged to participate.

 

Project and Submission Requirements

1. Projects must align with one of the three tracks:

Healthcare

Earth Sustainability

Marine Biology

2. All projects must be original and developed during the hackathon timeframe.

3. Submissions must include:

Project Overview: A clear description of the project and its purpose.

Technical Explanation: Details about the technologies and methodologies used.

Code Repository: A public GitHub (or similar) repository link with clear instructions.

Team Details: Names and roles of all team members.

4. Teams can use any technology or platform to build their project.

5. Submissions must be made before the deadline through Devpost.

 

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

 

Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1. Innovation:

How original and creative is the idea?

Does the project solve a unique problem or take a new approach to an existing issue?

2. Technical Complexity:

How technically challenging is the implementation?

Does the project showcase advanced problem-solving or creative use of technology?

3. Usability:

How easy is it to use and navigate the project?

Does it address the needs of the target audience effectively?

4. Design & User Experience:

How visually appealing is the project?

Does the design enhance the user experience?

5. Impact:

How significant is the problem being addressed?

What is the potential for real-world application and scalability?

6. Presentation:

How effectively was the project pitched?

Did the team clearly explain the problem, solution, and key features during their submission?

 

Judges will score submissions based on these criteria, and the winners will be selected by the panel based on the highest overall scores.
