Welcome to the Carolina Drone Lab!

The Carolina Drone Lab (CARDNL) is a research lab within the UNC Institute for the Environment focused on the innovative use of remote sensing and unoccupied aerial systems (UAS) to address environmental challenges. CARDNL is a continuously-evolving resource for collaborators both within the UNC community and beyond.

CARDNL specializes in collaborative and innovative Applied Research and Management Applications for natural resources.

CARDNL provides technical support to research and contract partners so they can utilize UAS and UAS-derived data for their work.
