BIMcollab consists of three main parts
Document management
All drawings and other documents live alongside the model, instead of in some separate third-party document management environment and scattered across folders and emails.

BIM coordination
Helps the team quickly spot issues and clashes in the model, assign them to the right person, and see them through to resolution.
- ✓Create issues directly from the software you already use (Revit, Archicad, Navisworks, Tekla, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MagiCAD)
- ✓Project requirements (IDS) can be defined before modelling even starts, so modellers know exactly what information to add
- ✓Every issue has a due date, an owner and automatic email notifications
Model checking — BIMcollab Zoom
A standalone application that quickly shows whether a model contains errors, before they reach the construction site.
- ✓Combines several models at once (e.g. architectural, structural and MEP) and finds clashes between them
- ✓Rule-based checks flag elements with missing or incorrect information
- ✓Also opens point clouds (LAZ, e57) — useful when an existing building has been laser-scanned
- ✓The free version lets you view models and open BCF files
