Built on a modern 64-bit engine, it delivers improved visuals, longer draw distances, and smoother performance. Drive steam, diesel, and electric locomotives with realistic physics, signaling, and dispatching, or assign tasks to AI drivers. Dynamic weather, day-night cycles, interactive industries, and authentic audio bring operations to life.
The Surveyor toolset lets you build detailed routes from the ground up—sculpt terrain, lay procedural track with advanced junctions, place scenery, and script sessions—supported by a large library of built-in and community content. Content Manager streamlines access to thousands of user-made assets via the Trainz Download Station and supports deep customization for creators. TANE offers both single-player and multiplayer sessions and is available for Windows and macOS.
