Tail Chasers Dog Walking

Frequently Asked Questions

Once we have booked a meet and greet, I will send over my Terms & Condition/Waiver forms for you to review before we meet. The day of the meet and greet I will come to your house and meet you and your pup. I will ask a few questions and answer any that you may have. Then we will discuss any instructions on where and how to pick up the pup. After that we set up the first walk!

Yes, I require all dogs to be fully up to date on vaccines. This helps to keep all the dogs safe on their walk.

With the walk being 60 minutes, the amount of time your dog is gone will depend on where they are in the pick up/drop off route. They may be gone for up to 2 hours. During travel time they will be buckled in their individual safe spots. They will have access to water and soft blankets to enjoy the ride!

I make sure that the dogs are slowly introduced from the start. From the meet and greet I get to know a little about the dogs personality, then I start them in a small group with who I think they will be good with. I will put the new dog on its own side while walking until it's more comfortable to walk closer to the other dogs.

Every dog is different and will have their own quirks. As I get to know and walk the dog more I have a better Idea on how they will react in different situations and place them accordingly. Sometimes, a few one on one walks will help get the new pup used to me before introducing them to the other dogs.

While going through forms before service there will  be a vet release form. This will allow me permission to bring your dog to a vet in case of a emergency. It will also outline in detail the protocols that will be taken with your permission

I require 24 hours notice to cancel a scheduled service.

Living in Alberta, the weather can be unpredictable. Which is why I try to be prepared for anything. In the summer when it is too hot, I will move the walks earlier in the day. I also offer the option for me to stop by and do a potty break later in the day.

In the winter some dogs have different tolerances than others. If safe, I will still walk dogs but will shorten the length of time. For those more sensitive, they will also be offered potty breaks.

When it gets to the point where it is unsafe for even me to be out in the weather, then we will not walk and stick to the potty breaks as needed.

No, you don’t need to be home! During our meet and greet, we’ll discuss options for entry, such as a door or garage code, or providing an extra key. I also provide a Key Handling Form that explains how Tail Chasers Dog Walking will securely handle your key or code.

Walking multiple dogs at once is so much easier with my favorite leash system! I use a Canadian brand called Tiny Horse (Walk Multiple Dogs) from Ontario, and I absolutely love it. It’s super customizable, so I can adjust things on the fly depending on what the dogs need during the walk. The best part? It almost never tangles, which makes our walks so much more enjoyable!
