T1D1 is an FDA-cleared, Class II medical device for over-the-counter use. Before use, a healthcare professional must provide your target blood glucose values, insulin-to-carbohydrate ratios, and correction factor (aka insulin sensitivity factor) to be programmed into the app.
While the app is designed to support insulin dosing for individuals with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) from age 2 and older, for children under 13, a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the account on the child’s behalf.
