Places like Syme can help people who live around the area to get together. We can build a bigger community and help others.

Places like Syme are important because it helps/promotes an environment where children get to have help with their work outside of school grounds. Syme is important because it helps and promotes learning, fosters responsibility, boosts student involvement, builds leadership skills, and creates a sense of community.

Places like Syme are important because the staff and facilities help us escape from the cold and we get learning resources from the staff. The staff treat us with dignity and respect. It is also nice for us to come here after school hours.

Syme has watched over me, taught me, and given me a place to go since I was in elementary school. Syme and its staff have helped me through my problems and taught me coping skills since I was young.

Syme Woolner Neighbourhood & Family Centre (SWNFC) was founded in 1996 through the amalgamation of Syme Family Centre and Jane/Woolner Neighbourhood Association. SWNFC builds on their legacy of providing high quality programming that engages community members from childhood through adolescence to adulthood.

Syme Woolner Neighbourhood and Family Centre (SWNFC) is a not-for-profit charitable organization providing direct services and programs to the residents of the York/Weston area of Toronto. SWNFC works towards a healthy, supportive and inclusive community. At Syme Woolner, our small but mighty team is shifting our resources during the rapidly evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) towards essential services. We will continue to provide the following services:
