In this tutorial we’ll instruct you how to manually configure Microsoft Outlook (versions 2016 or higher) to access your email account using IMAP.

1. Open Microsoft Outlook
2. Go to FILE > INFO and press the [+ ADD ACCOUNT] button.
3. Enter your full email address (i.e. myname@mydomain.com) and click on the [CONNECT] button.
4. You will be prompted what type of email account you want to setup. Select the IMAP icon.
5. If the IMAP Account Settings do not auto-configure you can manually enter them as follows:
   

   Incoming Mail Server: smartermail.scarabmedia.com
   Port: 993
   Encryption Method: SSL/TLS
   Outgoing Mail Server: smartermail.scarabmedia.com
   Port: 587
   Encryption Method: STARTTLS

   

6. Click on the [NEXT] button.
7. Enter your password and click on [CONNECT]
   
   
8. You should get a confirmation “Account successfully added“. You can click on the [DONE] button.
