We’re introducing a fallback conversion method (converting with a different library if the first one fails) when converting PDFs to HTML. You should now have fewer PDF conversion errors. 

Also, other minor conversion fixes related to other document formats are live.

We are happy to inform you that there was an update in our conversion engine:

• Custom bullet lists will convert to HTML ul/li tags with extra CSS to render these custom bullets if you select HTML List Mode as “HTML Tags” in your conversion template. The “Auto” option will convert custom bullet lists as p/span tags. You can find this option under “Conversion Options”.
• A new option under “Images Option” has been added called “Export Shapes as SVG” (disabled by default to maintain backward compatibility). You can enable it if you want to convert document shapes (vector format) to SVG format.
• Other minor fixes related to document conversion have been added.

We have updated our API code to support input zip files that contain HTML file with images and CSS relative to the input HTML file. Please note that the HTML file has to be in the root of the zip file. It can not be in a subfolder, but images and CSS files can be in a subfolder.

You can also upload a zip with DOCX/DOC, PDF, RTF, ODT, or TXT file in it. Zip can not contain more than one document to convert.

Currently, the web app DocConverter version does not support zip input files. If you need zip input support in the web app version please contact us.

Our cloud provider has scheduled maintenance on the 21st and 24th of July 2023 in our existing server data center location, so we decided to move our servers to a different data center location in order to keep our service active. In order to move our servers we have to put our web app into maintenance mode as well. Our API service will be working fine.
