Suri Cruise tutorial (PSPX and Microsoft PowerPoint)
We're going to be taking and turning it into

1) crop, resize, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah.
2) duplicate layer, set to screen.
3) open PowerPoint. go to "format" then "background", then "fill effects". choose "wheat".
4) print screen, then open PSPX and resize wheat texture to 100x100.
5) VERY IMPORTANT: make sure you pick the darkest part of the wheat texture (in the middle) otherwise next step wont work!
6) take wheat texture, and in PSPX, go to "adjust" then "one step photo fix". click "one step photo fix. your wheat texture should go from to
7)go back to powerpoint and repeat step three, but choose "rainbow" instead of "wheat".
8) crop the last two colors on the rainbow so it looks like this:
9) flip it. it'll look like this:
10) make settings "lighten 70".
11) take this texture: flip it and put it at screen 70. After doing that, I erased some of the sparkles off the baby's face.
12) YOU'RE DONE!

my first tutorial
ok, my FIRST tutorial. it's basic, but I hope you like it.

we're gonna go from to

1) resize to 100x100. (DUH!) I use PSPX and I have been having issues with my crop tool to make a picture resize, so I've been using MS Paint to resize, but if you're not having the same problem, use PSPX.

2) duplicate
3) new layer
4) flood fill with 0035e, which is a basic dark blue color.
5) make it screen 100.
6) make a new layer.
7) go to "picture tubes" and pick the "spiral garland" tube. place whereveer you want. I used the lower corner.
8)Merge all


Simple right? More than anything I want to emphasize playing with the tools the program you use, comes with. I've found great stuff just by playing with the pictures tubes.

my goddaughter
She appeared in Vanity Fair back in September for their october issue. she's ABSOLUTELY GORGEUS!!! she looks EXACTLY like her parents. and you know those babies who dont fit their name? she fits hers PERFECTLY. she LOOKS like a Suri!!

I went back to Wilmington again in August, and worked as an extra again. I got to hang out with Tarin, and i made really good friends with their on set paramedic, Tommy. he was such a sweetie to me. he and i call each other all the time.

Tom and Katie are getting married next saturday in italy. I CANT WAIT!!

SHE'S HERE! MY GODDAUGHTER IS HERE!
NEWS ON THE CRUISE FRONT!

Katie gave birth to a baby girl two days ago, tuesday! My goddaughter's name is Suri and she weighed seven pounds, seven ounces, and was 20 inches long! I am so freaking happy and excited, it's disgusting! she supposedly has lots of brunette hair, and green eyes! if that's true, she TOTALLY looks like her mommy and daddy! I love her name! it's a persian and hebrew name. in hebrew it means "princess" and in persian "it means "red rose" or "crimson". SO GIRLY!

tom was supposed to have an MI3 press junket on wednesday, but needless to say, he cancelled! he rescheduled for today, and the interviews air tommorrow! i cant wait! he's gonna be so GIDDY!

Happy April Fools day!
ok, so I went to the OTH tour thing last weekend, and it wasnt THAT exciting, but that's because I've met pretty much everyone already, and the only new person was Hilarie. she's actually a really sweet girl! totally outgoing and bubbly! um....let see. My godson isn't here yet, But his father is a fucking moron! yeah, i said it! I'm not a Tom Cruise butt-kisser! let's get that straight RIGHT NOW. i like the man, but jesus is he an idiot sometimes! His movie, MI3, opens next month, so he has to start promotion. so today he did an interview in germany. yes, i said GERMANY! he flew to Germany for a ONE HOUR INTERVIEW! i wish i had that much money to go from one continent to the other, for an hour....wait, NO I DONT!

Katie's due any damn second and he's off to the other side of the world! donald trump left his wife and went to florida, which isnt that far, but still! he got lucky! she went into labor like an hour after he returned home! let's hope luck is on tom's side, too!

IT'S BEEN THAT LONG!
holy freaking jesus! i totally forgot i had a livejournal account in the first place! I haven't been here in FOREVER!

ok, let me give you the cliff notes version: since the last time I logged in, I met the Bethany Joy Lenz, Lee Norris, Sophia Bush, Tyler Hilton and Jessica Harp, at the OTH tour last year. i had the screening with my friends for "first daughter" and it was a blast! it's a terrible film, and sitting thru it a second time was painful, but we had the theater all to ourselves, and could laugh, joke, make fun of the shitty story, and throw popcorn at the damn screen! oh, we also booed Marc Blucas every time he showed up on screen, because he was supposed to come to the screening and never did!

ok, then In late April of 2005, my world fucking exploded when Katie Holmes started dating Tom Cruise! like WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT? the most random shit ever, but whatever. the whole thing was bizarre, and the two of them (especially Tom) acted like fucking morons for weeks! you'd think he'd had just discovered girls or something! and he's been married twice!!

they got engaged six weeks later. yeah, I said SIX! now it's March 2006, it hasnt even been a damn year since they've been together and she's due any day now. yeah, as in she's nine months pregnant with his kid! no joke! the news broke back in october, and almost gave me a goddamn heartattack!

Most days, they're the goddamn cutest thing you'll ever see! they are pretty much incapable of keeping their damn hands off of each other! but some days (like today) you just wanna smack them! I just saw a picture of Tom's plane, and he changed it's name to "Kiss Me, Kate". um... BARF! how old is he, 12?

so now we're just sitting on pins and needles, waiting for the baby to arrive. all my friends say i should be his godmother! LOL i'd be honored, but that might be kind of dangerous! :)

oh, on the OTH front, I went to wilmington last summer and was there a whole week. I was a extra one day, and watched them film for three extra days! I got to meet Joy again, and james lafferty (SO HOT!) and Paul Johansson (LOVE HIM) and chad micheal murray (i hope he rots!) i also made friends with a bunch of P.A'S from the show, and we keep in touch. they keep me informed! LOL

I'm going to the OTH friends with benefits autograph signing in Los Angeles this weeked. I'm actually leaving in like a half an hour! we're driving! I'm so excited!

hey everyone! sorry its been so long i haven't written. i completely forgot. since the last time we've talked, i;ve managed to keep a B average in school, go to the OTH concert tour, meet the cast of OTH and have numerous nervous breakdowns! so, i've been busy! anyway, i'll be back! i swear!

my busy schedule
hi everyone!

sorry it's been awhile. yesterday, i had an anthropology test that we could have notes for, but we had to answer every other question, and it turned out that every question i had notes for, were the ones we were supposed to leave blank. it was frustrating. on the movie screening front, we finally have a date. it's next wednesday night! i'm really excited. it was exhausting though, because the studio decided on a school day and most of my college friends can't come now. i'm kind of bummed, but i can still find 20 friends no problem. i called my old creative writing teacher today to give her the info because she's sending two kids from her class to the screening so they can write about it in the school newspaper. she hadn't told the kids about the contest yet, and she told them when i was on the phone. they were so excited. she's sending the two kids that do the movie reviews, and 2 more that i said i had room for. (that may or may not be true. i have to check) what had originally happened was that yesterday the studio exceutive called me and had scheduled it for 5:00 next wednesday, but i felt that didn't give anyone enough time, so i requested that he make it a little later. luckily, he was able to accomodate me. when i told everyone, they were thrilled because they said it gave them more time to get ready. oh, also, i have a latino student union retreat this weekend (fri and sat) and i have a mid-term due monday. It'll be a busy week!

today was a great day!
a few weeks ago, I was entering the sweepstakes for the Katie Holmes film "First Daughter". the prize was a private screening of the film for the winner and 20 friends, with actor Marc Blucas, who stars in the film. today i was notifed by 20th century fox that i was the winner! i'm going to meet MARC BLUCAS! now for those of you who don't know who the hell he is, he was "riley" on buffy the vampire slayer. i'm super excited!
