Hello, this journal is locked due to personal content (all of which is rather quite boring, to be honest). However, all fanfiction will be left public.

+ This is more of a personal journal, with fandom-oriented things discussed only when it strikes my fancy. These days, the ratio is about 50/50 personal to fandom-oriented material. But that ratio could jump to like 70/30 at any given moment. ;) + I can be a sporadic poster and commenter. + I won't add you if you don't follow basic rules of grammar and punctuation.
I was going to write an entry about the latest Fringe episode, and all I could think of was what Peter was feeling, and this came to me and kind of sums up how I feel about the episode. (unbetaed, not my best work by any means, so just posting it here)

That week was not this week. Even though I had like midterms and stuff and did not really have time for all this watching videos and reading fanfic because I still can't get over the awesomeness that is the last two episodes.
So I didn't post about the last episode, so this is part in reaction to that but also I think will just be thoughts I've been having about the show. Kind of shipper-centered, 'cause it's me.

A/N: Written for the op_ficathon for greyslostwho. Her fantastic prompt was "It's harder for him to come to terms with the scars than it is for her." I tried to do it justice. A big thanks to my beta holycitygirl for making the structural changes that make this fic read so much better. Eternal gratitude couldn't make up for all that she does for me.
I was inspired to make this post by discussions at fringe_rewatch and by my own recent rewatches of "The Man from the Other Side" and "Northwest Passage." It got out of hand and now I don’t know what the heck it is about.
But I’ll tell you what it was supposed to be about. So in NW Passage, Peter’s all like “I don’t know who I am anymore.” Well, I decided that I’d tell him who he is! But basically, this is part dedication to and part speculation on the man that is Peter Bishop.
I kinda just wanted to go over in one place all that we know about Peter so far as I’m waiting for S3. And also, Olivia has always been my favorite character and then Walter snatched second because of his epic awesome-ness but in re-watching Fringe, I’m beginning to really really love Peter more. I’ve always loved him, but now I really really love him and I felt like dedicating a post to him and his awesomeness.
Also the pictures and caps are from various galleries just so this post could be kind of visually pleasing and not just a bunch of writing. That and Joshua Jackson is cute, duh. ;)

And next is a post about why I love Olivia Dunham. But not really. Time for bed. I just really needed to finish this post before I left on Thursday because I didn't want it sitting on my computer for me when I came back.

This rec list is for my fellow fan-girl tinkelo who I am navigating my third fandom with (woo hoo!) and who asked for a few recs. And because I'm me, I decided to go crazy and be all organized and give her a list of fifty to start with.
For anyone else coming to this list, a few things:
+ This list is basically all Peter/Olivia fics -- whether it's romantic or friendship, blatant or UST. I can't help it. I'm a conventional couple shipper.
+ This rec list, although complete (as in I'm not adding anymore fics!), is by no means meant to be exhaustive. There are a ton more great fics out there and I couldn't list them all (plus, I haven't read them all yet). This is meant to be more a sampling than anything, a stick your feet into the water kind of thing. In compiling this list, I tried to focus on including a variety of genre more than anything. So you have a little angst, fluff, humor, romance, smut, etc.
+ Why fifty? Because I like even numbers and alliteration and if I didn't give myself a max number I'd be rec'ing fics all day.
+ The list format used is credited to the ever-lovely kashmir1. The list is split into completed chapter fics, one-parters, and WIPs. Within those three categories, fics will be sorted in alphabetical order. Any summaries, ratings, etc. used are ones written by the authors themselves and if there were none, I substituted my own. All links for the stories go to fanfiction.net or livejournal.
