There wasn’t a paint chip poetry prompt for the letter Z. Zoological is my choice as poems about animals are very popular – there are whole books of them! For the letter W I posted a poem with 31 words and links to two other posts with 31-word poems I wrote for the prompts in August 2021 from Linda Kruschke.
The first 31-word poem I wrote was about an animal. The paint chip phrases I had to choose one from were babbling brook, starship, and lazy lizard. That post includes a photo of a legless lizard or slow worm, which I happened to see on a local walk.
My last poem for this A to Z challenge uses alliteration rather than rhyme.
Lying low
A lazy lizard lounged in the longest day languor.
Lidded eyes looked longingly at large flies.
A long tongue flicked out licking luckless lacewings.
Lunch liquefied later within the reptile’s scales.
My theme for the Blogging from A to Z in April Challenge this year is my poetry.
