Books

“Never trust anyone who has not brought a book with them.” ― Lemony Snicket

Before Squirm was born, I taught Year 7 English (and history). Before that, I had the biggest classroom library in the school and students who loved to read under the mango tree. Before that I won the prize for the most books borrowed in my high school . . . by a considerable margin.

I love books. I love the way they feel and smell (and I’ve even got used to the weight of my iPad – especially since it saves on shelf space!) I love learning about new things and being transferred to new places. I love talking about wonderful books and authors with my husband. And I love sharing old and new favourites with Squirm.

With this love of books (and my blog title) it was inevitable that large parts of the blog would be devoted to books and reading. Here I’m trying to hold the links all together, and hopefully doing a better job than I did with plot lines in my last NaNoWriMo!
