Deadlines & When to Apply to Global Opportunities
All UCI students are eligible to participate in global opportunities, including study, research, internships, and more. To take advantage of these opportunities, you must complete the two steps outlined below. You can complete both steps simultaneously. Your application to participate in a program is not complete until you do both steps!

Deadlines, which can range from 9 to 12 months in advance, and requirements, such as submitting transcripts, specific documents, and letters of recommendation, vary by program. AND…Don’t forget to apply for or renew your passport! All programs with travel will require that you have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months after your program end date. If you do not have a passport or it will expire less than 6 months after your program, apply for one now. Visit UCI Passport Services or the embassy of the issuing country for information right away in case there are processing delays. Undocumented students can book an appointment with the University of California Immigrant Legal Services Center for guidance.
