What is LearningDITA?
LearningDITA is a resource created and maintained by Scriptorium as a hub for training on the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA). If you’re just getting started with DITA, LearningDITA provides the self-paced e-learning DITA training you’re looking for.
The DITA 1.3 training course is based on the open-source DITA training project and covers topics from the basics of DITA to advanced reuse. We add new courses to keep pace with industry advances.

Purchase courses
To purchase courses:
- Visit store.scriptorium.com/shop
- Select courses for purchase.
- Create your store account when prompted. Please note that your course completion certificates will show the name you enter during this process.
- The store directs you to a page to start your purchased course.
- If prompted, complete the privacy notice review.
You will receive emails with your LearningDITA account credentials and enrollment confirmation.
If you already have a LearningDITA account, you can log in directly.
Team training
If you plan on enrolling a student or a group of students in LearningDITA training, our group licensing provides centralized course management. Visit our group licensing page to learn more.
Payment methods
We accept payment by credit and debit cards for all orders.
We accept payment by purchase order for orders of $1000 or more. Please send the PO to in**@*********um.com for invoicing. We do not honor discount codes when payment is by purchase order. Students can enroll in courses after payment is received.
Use an XML editor to complete course exercises
You will need an XML editor for the exercises. If you already have an XML editor on your computer, you can use it to complete the exercises. You can also download and install a trial version of an XML editor.
Course certificates
Once you’ve completed a course, you will receive an email with your course certificate. If you don’t receive an email, please log in to your account on LearningDITA.com, go to the My Courses page, select the course, and check for a link to your certificate at the bottom of the course page.
Download your books
Download purchased books from the Downloads page.
