doing some more detailing of random places around the map, I think I've finally got the general optimization pass done :D

Okay major performance hurdle may have been cleared for gm_subclass, turns out there were several hint brushes that somehow were also func_visclusters. No I have absolutely no idea how that happened lmao

So that should prevent source from attempting to load the entire map all at once when you're at the edges of the map, oh my god I hate optimizing big open areas so much I'm gonna go back to making rooms :missing:

Heads up to any would-be scammers looking for an easy mark, yes I am aware of the "vote for my team" stuff. No I was not born yesterday, no I will not vote your "team." If you just wanna chat about hammer editor or map creation or anything like that I'm game, but jesus christ can we stop with this ♥♥♥♥ please.

@PolyDriver thank you so much! That's almost exactly what I was hoping for when I threw that alarm sound in towards the end, I'm super excited to maybe do a little expansion/update to that map after I get done with the project I'm working on now. I had so many ideas I wanted to flesh out that I kinda had to push to the side 😁

Honestly, after playing this map, I can truly say that gm_depthprobe feels like Iron Lung, but instead of being locked in a submarine and getting killed by monster beyond human comprehension, you can freely explore areas while going deeper and deeper in some sort of crawler-like thing. And once you reach critical depth there's no turn back, only realization that you're screw up and should've listen to the warning chimes. Overall very good map. Can spend all my points just to give award to it.
