Democrats Historically Suffer Down-Ballot Losses. That’s Really Dangerous This Year.
“Analysis from States Win [formerly known as Sister District] on ten battleground state legislatures reveals that Democrats are much more likely than Republicans to vote for their candidates at the top of the ticket, and then neglect to vote for down-ballot races. In contested races, Democrats failed to vote down-ballot 79.41 percent of the time, while Republicans only failed to vote 37.25 percent of the time.”
– Prem Thakkar, The New Republic

Democrats warn these races you aren’t watching are in jeopardy.
“Research from States Win [formerly known as Sister District], a progressive organization focused on state legislatures, has found that down-ballot Democratic candidates experienced roll-off at a much higher rate than Republicans [..] That is partly because voters who are more likely to roll off are women, younger voters and people of color.”
– Madison Fernandez, Politico

Meanwhile, we have an election to win…
“The wonderful organization States Win [formerly known as Sister District] has conducted an eye-opening study and is spreading the word to encourage Democrats to vote in every race, top to bottom of the ballot. If Democrats voted with the same consistency as Republicans from top to bottom of the ballot, it is possible that a dozen states that currently ban reproductive liberty would not have passed those bans. It doesn’t get any more real than that.”
