Michael Berger is CEO of DocuWare. He joined the company in 2008 as Vice President R&D and has since had a significant impact on the company's innovation and technology strategy, particularly for DocuWare Cloud. From 2019 to 2024, as President of DocuWare, he led Product, Services and Finance. He was also responsible for strategy and growth, he oversaw strategic acquisitions for DocuWare as well as the company’s integration into The Ricoh Company Limited and oversaw strategic acquisitions for DocuWare. Michael studied at Technische Universität Dresden, and École Nationale Supérieure de l'Électronique et de ses Applications (ENSEA) in France, where he earned his doctorate in computer science specializing in Distributed and Intelligent Systems. Prior to DocuWare, his international experience includes leading software projects and serving on academic teaching and standardization committees.
