Dates

Hacking period: June 20, 2025 10:00 PM - June 22, 2025 11:00 AM

Eligibility

Everyone on your team must be registered for SpurHacks.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions will be handled on Devpost.

Entries are only considered if and only if they are submitted to Devpost before the announced closing time.

Only projects that have been pitched in person along with a valid Devpost submission will be considered.

We recommend submitting a video showcasing a demo of your project, but this is NOT required. We also recommend doing a write up of your project. All submitted projects must have a public GitHub repository showcasing ALL of the code used for the project.

Rules

  1. Teams must consist of 1-4 hackers who have been accepted into SpurHacks.
  2. All programming or modifications to the project must occur during the hacking period.
  3. The project must not be submitted to any other hackathons.
  4. Teams can use an idea they had before the event.
  5. Teams can use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in their projects. Working on a project before the event and open-sourcing it for the sole purpose of using the code during the event is against the spirit of the rules and is not allowed.
  6. Your team must pitch in person to the judges during your designated judging period.
  7. Projects that violate the [Code of Conduct](https://github.com/MLH/mlh-policies/blob/main/code-of-conduct.md) are not allowed.
  8. Teams can be disqualified from the competition at the organizers' discretion. Reasons might include but are not limited to breaking the Competition Rules, breaking the Code of Conduct, or other bad faith behaviour.

It is okay to copy code, however you should not claim it as your own and transform it in a way to make it your own.
