Well everything went pretty well. Unlike last year, I didn't get sick :D Here's a rundown of what happened.

Friday:
Arrived at the airport around 10:50 AM and took only about 10 minutes to get to the hotel on the shuttle. Checked in with my roommates at the executive wing and started seeing friends as well as make new ones. I didn't have time for opening ceremonies because the prereg line was an hour long. I shot some video of fursuiters before heading to the gaming room to play some Catan and Aye Dark Overlord. Also played a few rounds of rock band playing vocals and keys. I caught Uncle Kage's Story Hour and 2's Rant. It was pretty much the same material I've heard. Though it was announced that 2 was going to cut down on performances so he can have some free time doing other things including making new rants. Then there was Whose Lion Is It Anyway. I hung around for Questions Only and did pretty well.

Saturday:
I had found out that the new camera that I had bought the previous week had suddenly stopped working for some reason. That's $60 down the drain. So I only managed to catch footage of Friday. Sry! Anyway, I had done rehearsals with Growly for the variety show. Our skit was called Living On A Gas Card, which is a comedy song by Tim Wilson about a man who got kicked out of his house and is living in the parking lot of a gas station. It did pretty well at the show. The fursuit parade was pretty much smooth. We got free bandanas ^^ I had spent the rest of that afternoon hanging with friends and playing more board games.

Sunday:
Always the hardest day of the con. I went to a panel hosted by Rukario, but the problem is he never showed up. I was a bit worried because it wasn't like him to miss a panel. I went to the video gaming room to watch some Mortal Kombat and watch warriors get brutally slaughtered. Then the best game I've probably seen in a long time: You Don't Know Jack! This was one of the funniest trivia games I've ever played. I don't know why this hasn't gotten more popularity than it does now. They actually took the time to make jokes on every single question in the game. I want it now. :P After the closing ceremonies went around, I suited as Loki for a while since I haven't given him much action. Afterwards, I played Apples to Apples with some other furs and stayed up all night to play Vegas Showdown for the first time. I did pretty well and actually almost won the second time around.

Monday:
Since my flight was early in the morning, I decided to just get my sleep on the plane. I packed everything up and started heading out. Then as I'm about to walk out, I hear music and see a whole line of fursuiters parading around the hotel. It had seemed that there was another planned fursuit parade at 3:00 AM. Only about 30 showed up. This did catch me off guard as I would not expect to wake up to a fursuit parade at 3:00 AM. So after that excitement, I headed out to O'hare and got my sleep on the plane.

Video footage is being edited right now and will be posted soon. Also, I'm looking for fursuiters to help with a skit at FWA. You don't have to attend to be in this. The reason I'm planning this so early is because this is gonna take some time to complete. All you need is a camera/webcam with microphone, and a phone (doesn't matter what kind). I'm trying to get as many as possible to help out. If you wish to participate, let me know and I'll give you all the details.

I've just had my first experience in an earthquake. I was taking a nap at the time. Then I heard the window shake. When I stood up, I felt the floor shake. It was like nothing I felt before. The quake originated in VA as a 5.9. Now I know how Los Angeles feels.

So I went to Orlando again to get my sister ready for the Disney College Program, the same one I took last year except she's a character attendant. Lucky <.< But anyway, with Memorial Day coming up, I decided to talk about a very cool place in the area called Hard Knocks. Think of it as CoD in real life. It's similar to laser tag except the guns scaled to look and weigh the same as the real thing. Plus, there are different missions to carry out. And the most interesting thing is unlike laser tag, you have lives in the game. If your lives reach 0, you're dead and are out of the game. The games take place in realistic settings including an office space and a warehouse (yes the props are real). So here's a rundown of the weapons:

Weapons
Gun NameRangeRounds Per ClipClips/MagsAuto?
M16/M4Long3015Semi/Full
PistolShort1516 3 Round Burst/Semi/Full
CarbineMedium3015Semi/Full
MAC-10Medium3015Semi/Full
Pulse AssaultMedium3015Semi/Full
P90Medium2515Semi/Full
AWPX Long1015Semi
Sawed-off ShotgunShortSingle Shot40Pump

Now here are the missions I participated in (* means I was KIA):

Birthright:
This is a special mission because it was someone's birthday.  This is team deathmatch, but the if the birthday boy is killed, he is placed on the other team and starts over.  Last team standing wins.

Result:  Win*

De_molition:
This is an Offense/Defense game.  I was placed on Offense.  For the Offensive team, the object is to place explosive charges in 4 marked places in the building.  Only the demo man can place them.  If the demo man is killed, someone else takes their place.  If all 4 charges are placed, the building is blown up and the Offensive team wins.  However, if the whole team is killed or the 10 minutes expires, the Defensive team wins.

Result:  Win*

Sabotage:
Team deathmatch, but each team has a traitor whose objective is to kill the enemy as well as his own teammates.  Last team standing wins, but play will continue until the traitor is killed or the traitor is the last man standing (and wins a free match).

Result:  Draw

De_fuse:
This is an Offense/Defense game.  I was placed on Offense.  For the Offensive team, the object is to place a bomb on an X on the floor and activate it and keep it active for 1 minute.  If the 1 minute expires or the enemy is killed, the Offensive team wins.  For the Defensive team, they must either kill the enemy or defuse the bomb before the 1 minute expires.  Either way will win the match.

Result:  Failure*  (Team eliminated)

Heist:
This is a 3 way team match.  In the middle of the arena is a safe with treasure locked inside.  Teams must find one of three codes to attempt to unlock the safe.  If they find the correct code, they must take the treasure back to their spawn point and protect it for 30 seconds which will win the match.  Either that or eliminate the other teams.

Result:  Win  (Treasure redeemed and teams eliminated)

Resurrection:
Team deathmatch.  Everyone on each team gets 2 lives.  Last team standing wins.

Result:  Win*

Havoc:
This is a pistol/shotgun only team deathmatch.  Half of each team is placed on opposite ends of the field.  Last team standing wins.

Result:  Win

Pump:
This is a shotgun only team deathmatch.  Everyone is separated into teams of 2.  Each team may use one resurrection.  Last team standing wins.

Result:  Failure*

Stockade:
Team deathmatch except that if a person is killed, they become a prisoner of the other team.  The only way to bring them back into the game is to find sets of keys hidden in the arena and release them.  Last team standing wins.

Result:  Win

DMZ:
Team deathmatch except 2-3 people of each team is placed on the opposite side of the field near the opposing team.  Last team standing wins.

Result:  Win

Revive:
Team deathmatch.  Somewhere in the arena is a first aid kit.  Anyone can use it anytime during the match to fully heal their lives, but can use it once and it is useless if they are killed.  Last team standing wins.

Result:  Win

Assassination:
This is an Offense/Defense game with a V.I.P.  I was chosen as the V.I.P.  The Offense must escort the V.I.P. to an extraction point and keep him there for 30 seconds to win the game.  However, unlike the rest of the team who has anywhere from 6-8 lives, the V.I.P. only has 4 lives and is only armed with a MAC-10.  If the V.I.P. is killed, the Defensive team wins.

Result:  Win

There's a lot more missions if you want to ask me about them.  This is a must do if you plan to visit.  :D

My dad has been acting weird lately. He recently went to the VA (he's a Vietnam veteran) growing a beard to make himself look crazy so they would give him more money. He even lied to them saying that he dreams in his sleep that he's still in Vietnam and beats his wife while he sleeps. It's an obvious lie because there's no marks on her. My mom went with him but they wouldn't allow her in. Lying to them to get more money sounds like it's illegal, because isn't that taking more money out of our pocket? It isn't just this. He has an anger issue. My mom came back at 10 pm and he gets mad at her for not making dinner for him even though he knew where she was at the time. What's worse is that he's now buying a car for someone and signing under his name. This will not only mean more money taken away, but if something happens, the responsibility ends up on us (which my dad denies). Any advice as for what we should do?
