Spiffy is an email notifier for Google email service. It is a stand-alone application able to check up to five Gmail or Google Apps accounts simultaneously, and notify you when new messages get in your inbox. Spiffy offers quite an impressive number of options to customize every aspect of the application, from its looks to alerts.

Configuring the program is a straightforward task. It all comes down to adding your email account details, that is user name, email address, and password, and setting the time intervals you want the application to check your accounts for new emails. You can also set Spiffy to check specific Gmail labels within your account.

Once set up, Spiffy will run in the background and will display pop up notifications when new emails arrive. By default, these notifications will show the sender's name and email address, along with the subject and a portion of the email content. But you can configure the notifications duration and behavior, the position you want them to appear on the screen, and customize the colors, fonts, and the information you want them to display. You can even pick a picture to use as background for the notifications.
Extra configuration options are available from the program settings, from start-up options to mail checker timers.
